I'm going to try this as a time saver. Great idea! I was thinking, wrapped pasteles have a nice firm masa consistency. This seems like the consistency may be a bit more "loose"? I'm wondering if putting a same sized pan on top with some bricks or water to "PRESS" the pastele while cooking might make the texture more like wrapped pasteles?

Greg my pastel came out on point ❤ I miss my mothers pasteles so much and now that she’s gone I can make it this way, I cut ingredients in half and used a 8x8 and was plenty for me and my husband and leftover for another day 😊
