👍👍 I'm gonna combine it with other strategies I've seen to reach economic stability and prevent rushes. I'm playing AOE 1 for the first time, I've been playing aoe3 and 4, and I have to say the aoe1 is different in so many aspects that attached to the definitive edition make it a perfect combination to spend hours playing and having fun, thanks for the vid. I'm going to play this for a time.

The thing is I get destroyed on easy mode with catapults first second I start the game.

What if your opponent rushes tool age/ sends warships of their own? As you have no defensive units

But what if you get attacked?

At what part do the laser men come?

Can we have an updated version which takes into account the changes in time. That being, one that trains us how to wall, BOOM, then play DM. Thanks

I usually make the first one to build the houses and build 15 immediately after the first one starts building houses in fine Forest find food find Stone build barracks build docks direct villagers towards most needed resource get to tool age make towers make walls

In AoE DE mine starts with only ONE person, not 3. Why is that?

can you do farms instead of fishing boats if you do not have a sea ? or should you hunt instead or find another berry patch?

I kinda like to take my time but this is cool. Because the computer AI has a habit of rushing you. But what I did was wall off my base so they can't do much until I am ready! Lmao
Also with that many villagers and fishing boats... 47/50 population. That doesn't leave you a lot for combat units. Do you just kill off a few of the villagers or something? Lol.

Yea but u hit population cap that is 50 and u got only civilians not any troops. So how u gonna conquer your enemy?

I bet this strategy is considerably easier to pull off in the Definitive Edition.

The damn hardest AI goes to tool age in 1 min 40 secs with 2 wils collecting food. So unfair.

I improved a lot on AOE also thanks to this kind of videos. And my progresses are all recorded in my videos.

Finally found my AOE disk after 10 years!! Happy to be back playing this wonderful game and hope there is still multiplayer games.

I like your positioning new storage pts so early to shorten walking distance. Seems a bit silly at first, but for 120 wood, the amount of time spent walking is significantly decreased.

When you factor all the cutters working, bet that 120 wood is made up quick. (Sorry if you addressed this in the video, watching with no sound)
