They need to put this on Shudder or some streaming platform. I’m really interested but not looking into it because I don’t want to know what happens (obviously) w/o watching. Hmm

What a strange and intense movie

Can you do a spoiler review or livestream with one of your buddies? This review left me wanting more.

I just finished watching. And I agree it’s not horror. I think what makes it work is the fact that the human relationships seem very real despite the “inciting incident” and the final reveal being borderline absurd. A lot of the things that happen in this movie would be played for straight laughs on a show like Seinfeld, whereas the irony here revolves around something so dark and painful Its very hard to sit with. You feel Jesus’ dread.

Im sold where can you watch this? Foreign films can be so intense and unique like martyr's i still think about sometimes.

This movie takes Hichcock's 'Bomb Under the Table' theory to its darkest possible conclusion. Deeply upsetting and well crafted.

Blind bought this dvd last week , good movie but it’s not SERBIAN FILM or IRREVERSIBLE, but if you haven’t seen those you’ll be ok , the comedy ( dark comedy) lightens the load , it’s a good film 🎞️ overall though

So I’m a big fan or horror movie and I seen some mess up movies that have really made me question my life but this is one of those movies that sticks to somthing that can happen in real life there is just abit of gore but it’s knowing what happens and the stress of what’s going to happen that u feel it’s like your in that situation I can’t spoil the movie but if your weak of stomach please do not watch it or if your sensitive cause it’s not for u it’s also free to watch if u don’t mind watching it in Spanish

This movie doesn’t live up to hype or exaggerated comments that people post for views and likes. I was not shocked or disturbed the entire time.
The last 3 movies off the top of my head were a trillion times more disturbing.
Beau is Afraid, Incendies (2010) Bone Tomahawk.

I didn't think it was that good. Really boring

The USP of this movie is that when the incident happens and what follows, you question yourself what if I were in that situation !

THERE REALLY IS A WOLF EATING YOUR LEG. IN THIS SITUATION, IT IS BEST NOT TO TRY AND RUN HIM OFF. JUST LET HIM FINISH UP AND GO HIS WAY. Why are people hyping this movie up? It’s average at best. It’s not even a horror film. after I watched it, I felt like a like a complete idiot. I guess I expected more from it. Hence the hype.

The Coffee Table is 100% a horror movie. You don't want it to be, but it is. Rosemary's Baby, Jacob's Ladder, The Triangle, and Psycho are all psychological horror films. The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Wicker Man (1973)...all horror. Godzilla Minus One, Talk to Me, Midsommar, and Annihilation are all cutting-edge, boundary-breaking examples of horror. The Coffee Table falls into that groundbreaking category of so-called elevated horror. Is it a drama? Yes. Is it a suspense thriller? Yes. Is it a tragedy? Yes. Horror is much more than the supernatural.

The ending confuse me a lot..

I'm actually shocked how shocked people are by this movie. It really is just content and the tension but in terms of actual Gore or violence it's pretty much non-existent. I thought it was a great movie in general though as a drama and horror in the sense that it's horrific I suppose.

Yeah, I am a big fan of horror movies, but your review scared me enough to not watch this movie. Maybe squinting I could watch it. But I have to read the sub-titles and have to have a clear vision. Nah, I can't do it and that makes me a little sad.

Definetly not a horror movie. Being a mother of three little ones I will never buy a glass coffee table!

I know what I’d do, at least I think I’d know. I’d do the right thing. First legally stop everything and call emergency services. (Spoilers) stop cleaning evidence because that implicates you’re trying to hide the event. Then call your spouse, tell them it’s urgent and they need to return home. Don’t tell them on the road, they’ll crash or worse. Then accept consequence. Easy to say when you’re not in the situation tho. I’d feel like a monster for killing a baby accident or not. How could I have been so careless, I take better care of my phone than this kid. Wtf is wrong with me. Thoughts like that

Good work not spoiling. Has to be seen blind. The tension in this movie is OFF THE CHARTS!!! Perfectly executed. Took me 2 sittings to finish. And I have a high threshold.
