Thank you for your thoughts. I am really motivated by reading statistics, so I like the new kobo for how long spent reading a book, etc. It does not seem they have these on the android app.

I have a kindle basic and love the size. Can only view (limited) stats on the app not the device. I have to use storygraph to get some attractive data.

Long term i think I will move to kobo, and I fancy the clara BW. Cannot currently justify it when nothing wrong with my kindle. I also get good value from kindle unlimited.

Thanks! I also like the Kobo readers (have a Clara 2E and a Libra 2). Out of curiosity: Can you recommend the e-book whose cover we see in the video? :) It would be interesting to know what is currently being read in Sweden.

You can jailbreak your kindle, and install koreader. I did this to my Kindle Oasis and am very happy with it.

Not an ebook reader but is the time reading on your phone over?

Libra 2 is the best size and bw is better than color

9 hours???? Thats terrible! I expect at least 40 hours reading time for an ereader

Which one would you suggest ? I read only Greek books and I would like to avoid Adobe Digital Editions because it doesn’t work for my computer. Thank you!!

Since they are e ink, would the color one be any less comfortable to read than a regular colorized book if you had good lighting nearby?

I have tried a lot of eReaders lately, and I keep coming back to my Kindle Oasis. It's just the best in every way. Or almost every way. It has 24 led's, which has been hands-down the brightest of all the devices I've tried. The buttons are "clicky" and feel satisfying to push - unlike the Kobo devices. The Oasis also has a Settings / Accessibility / Layour Size option to make everything larger, (not including the text in eBooks, of course). The other device I think might be the best is the Boox Palma, which I'm getting delivered tomorrow. That could well be the perfect companion eReader to the Oasis. I also have the latest Kindle Paperwhite, which is a nice device. One thing I did like a lot about the Kobo eReaders was the Auto-Orientation. I'd love to see that on the Oasis or PW.

The one thing that may have me sending the Palma back is the non-book-ness, size-wise, of it versus the Oasis. With the Oasis - or most other eReaders, you have a format that is more book-like. We'll see how it goes. The only thing I'd change on the Oasis, is making it the same dimensions as the Kobo Libra 2. So, no bump-out in the back. I kindad like it, but I kinda like the more book-like feel of a PW or Libra 2 with a nice pleather cover.

Can you display and off screen wallpaper on palma? I also use koreader and heard it's possible, but couldn't find a way to do that. I love my palma but also like this feature of kindle or kobo. But can't go with those as I'm sure I won't use them much 😶

Keep those kindles offline so when a new jailbreak comes out you’ll be able to do it and run KOReader on those kindles. Right now the latest firmware you can jailbreak is 5.16.2.1.1

Sad to think of all those unused devices 😞

Nice video! I'm a Kobo guy, having used Kobo products since the Aura HD was released. At the moment I have an Aura HD, Libra, Libra H20, Sage and the original Clara. The Clara is the one I use almost 90% due to its light weight and portability. The only other ebook readers I've tried was Sony and Boox which I didn't really like because of the user interface.

Your explanation helps a lot for we who does not know which is the best ones to buy. That was great. Thanks.

I was lucky enough to jailbreak my oasis2 before Amazon updated the firmware. KOReader is so much more robust and customizeable than yhe standard firmware, its amazing

Now Im glad I get to keep using this wonderful hardware without being forced to use Amazon's format or accounts

Sell me one out of the ones you are not using.
