I'm trying to do it with druid but im too slow with a spear. I'll get hit by attacks and the leap is almost always guarenteed to hit. But then a mace is just way too short of a distance

Torture Mastery also seems nerfed in this fight. It could be a range issue, but I haven't tested that yet.

Unfortunately now if you don't have the perfect ice block layout when it switches to final phase you slide against the blocks and fly off. Think IM needs to re-tune this one.

so ive been soling this boss in melee for quite a while now and this wipe hes been really buggy, im to a point where I dont use the ice during phase because its just not working, like sometimes im perfectly lined up and it hits me anyways, another big one im running into is phase 2 just being really buggy. one time his breath broke the ice and killed me, which ive never had happen in over 100 kills, another time the pulling force from his phase pulled me right through his ice block like it wasnt even there. that's some things I've ran into but the most egregious of all is that whole "fixed wyvern not taking damage past 3rd phase" was a lie, its not happening every game but I've had 3 different attempts this wipe where I was in third phase beating his ass for over 6 minutes and he never died, I do this whole boss fight in under 6 minutes most times. its seems like they adjusted how the gust ability during phase works and its really messed some things up, so if you attempt this as melee rn be on the lookout for these things.

Sad and click baity, you don't even mention the bandage method for the phases

The most deadly solo attack is aerial dive when you are really close to the wyvern (barbarian here). It hits you twice which can deal a ton of damage (practically one shot from full health in normal gear). It has a hitbox when the wyvern is diving AND it hits you when she lands near you. Hopefully a bug that will be fixed sometime but that is something that ruined lots of good runs after figuring out the other moves.

I think the wyvern was the boss I learned the fastest, like 4 attempts and I could kill it consistently in squire gear bard
