I'm interested in languages and always wonder why some people pronounce Pyrhon as "Pythin". Do they pronounce Amazon, "Amazin"? Do they turn a light switch "in" as well or is that actually "on". There are language folks out there who understand the origins (Or "Oranges" as Trump says. LMAO) of the words and how they change over time and different cultures.

Yep, to rough up a quick web application or web service, its python + flask, typically then deployed into docker container into one of the cloud services. Fun and interesting stuff. Python/Flask is pretty straightforward for setting up web service APIs.
Unfortunately just about any interactive web application, needs some javascript. Python is OK for the server side, but the client side is still typically javascript, html and some CSS. (Shame as I really love C# and what Silverlight offered)

Dart and flutter are good for apps and if you know a bit python its easy to get into.

So like I’m a little bit confused about the competition, what about if you’re not based in the uk?

What about Streamlit?. I haven't quite gotten into it but it seems like a very beginner friendly, fast and easy way to set up a Web App.

Flask is good to start, I would recommend Miguel Grinberg and his Flask Mega-Tutorial and also Javascript.
