I know you will be better soon and standing outside my store shaking my gumball machine. Love you! Alan from Swings and things, Pacific Beach San Diego.
Ответить“occasionally be cheated on” lmao how about NO. This is also not a question, the assertion IS NO.
ОтветитьHonestly, I am not approaching - shall it come to it, women shall approach me. All people do not approach because they know they are deluded and will always be lead into delusion. No theory escapes delusions.
ОтветитьDeluded self with the help of government and society into this experience you experience.
Ответить‘can’ is a theory, notice to everyone.
ОтветитьI fail because my body gets exhausted!!!!!
ОтветитьTodd, don’t tell me you got injured pulling guard!
ОтветитьInjuries are the only thing that keeps me from coming back to martial arts. I did for a while and got injured. It has been a pain. But oh well.
ОтветитьYou need the grinch to give a surgery 😢
ОтветитьWow Todd, well, I hope everything is going well with your knee. As far as the message in the video, I think this is something that I really needed to hear, as a 34 year old, no friends no relationship and no money this IS a wake up call for me. I have given up on friendships and relationships after being 28. I have been lost. I’m glad I still follow you from way back from the RSD days
Ответить"You often meet your destiny on the very road you took to avoid it."
ОтветитьNor do I wish to be thinking about you while I'm on my deathbed 🤨
ОтветитьI'm so sorry to hear that Todd! I hope you'll recover very quickly and keep us posted on the results!
ОтветитьWow his Spotify podcasts are more spicy 🌶️
Ответить"A lot of women, or just many women, cannot understand, or will never understand, how someone(a guy, man, human male) cannot be desired or doesn't have any dating options, or has never dated or never been with a woman before by a certain age, unless something is seriously wrong with them.
They(women) get desired and wanted, sought after, by default have dating options, always have choices, opportunities, just for existing and being a normal person, so they assume that's how it is for men, but it's not., women who think that way are completely delusional"
I read that long statement on a twitter post, i thought that was perfectly valid.
never truer words have been said or spoken.
Good takeaway.
If you are actually training real jiujitsu, chances of getting some kind of injury at some point are damn near 100%.
It is demoralizing and depressing to be off the mats but kinda just part of the sport.
Tests your resilience, commitment and forces you to train smarter
Tore my tricep tendon with strength training after 20 years training. Back to 💯 percent after a year thank God. You will get through it eventually. Helpful videos. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat video Todd
Ответитьi hope you'll get well soon!
Ответитьthe difference between fear of std's and approach anxiety feel leagues apart, never met anyone who would never bother "stay virgin" due to a fear of std
ОтветитьAssuming having a woman is success...
ОтветитьI hope you recover fully and you're not in pain. You've been a very active person and you will find how to make the most of any possible outcome. All the best amd THANK you for the video
Ответитьtldr: give a shot, take a reasonable risk. it may end bad but it's still better than live calm no risk life.
ОтветитьTodd - thank you for the great content and actionable advice you've given us all (for free) over the years. Keep your head up and get well soon. When you have your black belt in several years, you'll look back and be glad you kept pushing.
ОтветитьOmg Todd love that epic tension mood in the beggiing!
ОтветитьThe problem is:
it's not just 1 approach.
It's 100+ approaches every month, which means you need A LOT of emotional control over yourself. From pushing yourself to go out and crush all the fears to inevitable flakes, angry boyfriends, shattered hopes etc etc.
Sometimes I think is it even worth it to go through all of that to get a woman? Especially given that it kind of becomes harder in recent years.
I don't have the answer exactly. That might be just my rationalization cuz I can't make myself do it despite having success with game in the past.
Great points. I'm not saying this to disagree, but my problems come from the things I'm afraid of being unrelated to the actions taken. Like yeah, If I got an injury that prevented me from grappling, it would be better than never grappling. The problem is if you get too bad an injury, it prevents you from doing your day-to day things, costs money you don't have, etc. The math is simple when it's "either way you're missing out, but doing it there is only a chance" vs "this isn't an issue if you don't do anything, but taking the risk could have consequences bigger than the benefit you get".
ОтветитьYes you have a point but when you have 100+ body count you are increasing the factor and the odds are not with you... i think it is an unnecessary risk
ОтветитьAmazing thought experiment
ОтветитьYou’ll be ok Todd.
My best friend made it through the ACL injury thing so well that he’s now a mountain hiking maniac! We just did a 9 hour hike in some of Japan’s most dangerous mountains and he was fine. It never bothered him.
Me, you should see an Xray of my neck! Two artificial discs in my neck, with a bone fusion in the middle. I did another ten years of Muai Thai and MMA after that, and I’m fine.
It might take a year, or even two, but 99% you’ll come out so fine you can go back to BJJ.
All you said here was on point, but I just thought I’d add this comment on a personal level, ‘cause a bit of realistic encouragement never hurt!
WOW what a great video
ОтветитьI listened to one of your podcast with James and you guys discussed about preventing to look "needy". I also learned through your verbal academy course that the purpose of game is to convey value. So I was wondering if you could make a video or podcast on how to convey value without looking needy.
ОтветитьHonestly youre a fuckin idiot sparring with people doing leg locks on you when youre a white belt 😂. I swear every white belt comes into this sport thinking theyre gonna be mike musumeci in 2 years 😂
ОтветитьI see Todd. I click Todd. I never regret taking the risk.
ОтветитьGreat advice
ОтветитьDamn I just ordered a gi to do bjj more and now im even more concerned ill get hurt
ОтветитьHey Todd, can you please do a video on healthy safe sex practices? Such as vaccines to take for men? The segment on STDs was so relatable because with all the good game you've taught us, we're certainly putting ourselves at a higher risk of contracting em.
ОтветитьWhat about when you ask a girl out and she complains to HR and you get fired and have a sexual harassment accusation hanging over you when you try to find a new job?
ОтветитьYour BJJ journey is so intriguing! I would love to know more about the philosophical insights you have gotten from your journey, especially those related to game. Here are some metaphors and parallels I see:
1. Getting tapped out as a metaphor to overcome approach anxiety
2. How leveraging weight efficiently and using feet as points of support for hip movement might translate to better agility in intimate situations
3. The belt system and what makes someone advanced in game
4. How martial arts help with confidence and body language
5. Age differences - while it doesn't matter much in BJJ, what about in game? Are there similarities?
I am 40, and I recently recovered from an injury; I have an idea of how it feels. There is always hope, especially with the quick advancements AI is bringing to the medical field.
My best goes out to you. I have been a loyal follower and customer of yours since you started posting, and I can only be thankful for everything you have taught me and have you in my prayers.
I know you will turn adversity into something positive; I have seen you do it many times.
What an epic video. Best wishes for your knee.
ОтветитьI believe the biggest reason people fail in life is that they mistake the starting line for a finish line.
ОтветитьHi Todd. Best wishes with your prognosis and recovery. I went through an ACL reconstruction about 15 years ago which ended my basketball career. I'm confident you will do just fine.
ОтветитьGood luck with your knee, bro.
ОтветитьBest wishes with the knee recovery!
ОтветитьHow about Muay Thai Todd?
ОтветитьThese are all good points
Ответитьmy looks kept me from getting girls in schooll. ugly and shy in school is a dead end
ОтветитьDamn Todd. Did he crank it too quick? Heel hook or kneebar?
ОтветитьI love you man really appreciate your work!
