I hope that because it’s Europe and it’s France - no nudity means actually naked to avoid events like Kanye stripping his wife naked or someone showing up with a full view of a bared vulva or phallus (as that is actually against the law in some European countries). High slits, bare backs, side boob or plunging necklines have never been outrageous by European standards but parading genitalia down a red carpet for shock/exposure has always been in poor taste (and in the case of some very hard to tell if was done under duress) So to keep it classy and safe, I assume, no nudity at Cannes seems like a good rule and should be understood as actually naked with private parts on full display.
