Russian Spring Punch - The Best Vodka Drink?

Mondays are for Absolute Classics. What better way to start the week than by getting down to basics. Every Monday at Dr. Cush's Exotic Drinks, we will be making classic cocktails; Cocktails that are undoubtedly kings and queens in their own right. No Frills, No Shills and only a few spills.

The Russian Spring Punch is not Russian. Well, The vodka part is. The Cassis is French, The Champagne is French, the lemons are originally from north India and the Sugar I got that from my cabinet. So this could just as easily be called Dr. Cush's Cabinet Spring Punch (u/savethatideabot). What ever the name, this cocktail has made it into history by becoming an IBA cocktail. Originally created by Dick Bradsell of the UK for a sort of pot luck drinking session, this drink has come a long way from it's humble 1980's beginnings to a New Era Classic. Enjoy!

Russian Spring Punch
1.5 oz.Vodka
.75 oz Lemon Juice
.5 oz. Creme de Cassis
.5 oz. Chambord (Framboise)
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Sparkling Wine
