We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. Ok let’s keep it real. There are pockets of nice areas here in SA, mostly just the north side. Majority of the city is trashy. My job is the only thing keeping me here.

Avoid SA if you can. Better off moving to Seguin or New Braunfels.

Hello there, I appreciate this video. I'm a native Texan, born and raised here in San Antonio. The saddest thing for me as a mom of 2, is how bad the crime is here now. It worries me everyday. The fact that my home city is getting to the point of being unrecognizable makes my heart sad. It is getting far too big.

Umm... Their isn't much to do in San Antonio. It's boring as hell. It's a great city to move too if you want to raise a family, settle down/retire in but thats about it. If you want to date, socialize and have fun in the night life then I reccomend moving to Austin, Houston or Dallas. Those citys have WAY more things to do than SA. Trust me! lol.

Me and my wife and our three teenage kids are planning to move to San Antonio around December /January I'm a disabled veteran we are moving from South Carolina so I don't assume the heat and humidity will be that much different than what we deal with here😂 I read a lot of good things about Texas and your job market economy and housing so we're looking forward to the move my older son is moving to Austin and my other older son wants to move to Texas when he gets out the army! I want that hat "Life in SATX". Where can I get it? Overall a good, informative video. A Con is the traffic between SA and Austin on I-35. Hoping that one day they will widen I-35. But as you said, lots of good things about living in a city with a small town feel. Lots of nice people. I love the River Walk and the Spurs. Great restaurants and always good music playing downtown. It's the "Human Race". Also, would you believe, it is a fact, all humans are the same color yes, some just have more melanin than others. Yes, Texas is hot. Texas can be humid and yes, we have lots of bugs but that’s why they made bug spray. I’m a proud Texan. Every state has his pros and cons up north you freeze other states you have other problems such as flooding in hurricanes, Texas has the heat I would rather deal with the heat than the cold. They have clothing for that purpose. I have per pound that living in Fort Worth. I have not had any problems here. Again, I’m a proud person and proud to be part of Texas and the Texas pride so if you don’t like Texas, there’s other places to live, but I can tell you I’d rather deal with the warmth than the cold. I got shoveling snow because I am from up north of originally and I’m quite frankly I prefer the sunshine humidity you can always get indoors is air conditioning everywhere.

San Antonio is very under rated. it's always old itself short. It's a beautiful old city with big city amenities.

For the people complaining about the excessive heat, just be thankful it isn't humid as well. Go to Houston. Go to Florida. Go literally two hours south to corpus Christi... My brother also complains about the dry heat in California, but I'll happily take that over perpetual swamp butt

The city council is a revolving door of felons.
Their MODEL /SISTER CITY IS FREAKING SAN FRANCISCO. Just let that sink in. And they try real hard to match that dooky city.

I've lived here 30 yrs on and off and will only say that if you are thinking that you'll find a great job here, think again. They call SA "Poor man's city" for a reason. Cost of living is the same as in FL, CO, and the NC difference is PAY. LOWEST pay of the 3 major cities Houston and Dallas. University Hosp is the largest COUNTY hospital with very low paying jobs and poor management. Don't believe me, then come right over. You were warned !!!!!

im canadian, im thinking of moving to texas.. san antonio is on the top of my list.. i honestly want to get into horse care.. i was offered a job with horses years ago in my late teens that i never took up.. and i regret it to this day. im nearly forty now, and i just want to follow my passions im done with commercial cities.
