Man, I'm 6'4 and went from a m235i to a Golf R and the difference in comfort is night and day lol. With adjustable bolsters it would be one of the best dailies on the market.

I'm 5 11 and always hated the tall ceiling on the golf's. I can appreciate it now when I read the comments.

I own a 2018 completely stock R and it’s perfect for my basic city commuting needs and enough power to have fun when traffic permits 😁

This is another VW auto which has a direct injection engine in it!
This will get HEAVY carbon build up and costs a FORTUNE to get repairs performed on them!
I know because I have one and will NEVER buy a VW again!

Debating a 8.5 Golf R. I still love the look of my 7.5. Would love the extra power but that light bar across the front and the lack of buttons rubs me the wrong way. Living in Los Angeles I would definitely go the DSG route again. Wish VW would come out with the Spektrum Program. Or at least get a Red or back to Oryx White. 3 colors VW? Come on.

Manually is actually better in my opinion. I'm not carrying passengers. So that's not a problem either. Laying down the backseat is why I like hatchbacks.
