What was your first wheel?
ОтветитьJust upgraded my old T150 to the T300RS with the Ferrari SF1000 wheel and im loving it so far!
I will Definitely upgrade the base to the T818 if i ever have the money though!
I got my wheel second hand for £30 but it retails new for £60 at a shop in the UK called B&M Bargains - XR Racing Wheel V2 and it works fine , but when it comes to Racing Wheels there is a lot of flexing and snobbery as not everyone can afford what some people call " Cheap " .......
ОтветитьI still don’t have a wheel I’ve watched your videos multiple times and still can’t come to close on a certain wheel/bundle This one just now & the 2023 video about wheels about 2-3 weeks ago. Based of your last video review about wheels I’m mostly interested in T-GT 2 but now after watching this, maybe I should just go for the t-300 since most people say that’s a great choice, idk I play GT7 for ps5 probably everyday and my girlfriend thinks I’m absolutely nuts but I can’t get off this game and I’m really getting use to controller but I’m really about this sim life and money means absolutely nothing so if it cost more bring it cause I’m about it 😂😂 if anyone has info to share/ help me please comment and tag me @randomcallsign
ОтветитьMy first wheel IS the logitech driving force GT but its clearly too old and im gonna get a Csl DD soon
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I'm looking for a Thrustmaster steering wheel.
ОтветитьI did find g29 in trash 😂😂
Ответитьi got a TMX pro set , TMX is the xbox twin for the T-150 pro just meant it came with triple pedals , was around $300 been enjoying it for 3 4 years now
ОтветитьMan I lived my g29 while I used it for 2 years then upgraded to a R5 bundle then 3 months later got a R12 CS wheel CRP loadcell pedals and a Moza hgp shifter and HBP hand brake and a NLR cockpit my setup is in its final form and it's amazing
ОтветитьI bought the Thrustmaster T248 last year. I'm glad I bought this one. I love it!
The force feedback is great and the 12 extra 'buttons' are a great feature
My first wheel, that I still use for ETS2/ATS is the Logitech Driving Force GT (2007!). It was the predecessor of the G27.
It was gear based, and came with an up/down stick shift permanently molded on the right side, as well as padel shifters that did have the large padel wings. People still sell the DYI mounts to put padels on is, or print your own. IT's archaic by today's standards and the pedals aren't great, and only 2. But it has done me OK until now. I drifted more to the flight games than racing, so it does the trick.
My first wheel was a Thrustmaster t80 I’m trying to upgrade to a Logitech g920 or 923
ОтветитьThe bargains are out there. I bought my first wheel last week from Facebook Marketplace. It is a G29 with the shifter on a Next Level Racing frame for £129/€150/USD$163.
ОтветитьI just got an op deal on a g923 for 150$ used with a shifter and pedals
ОтветитьI build my first simracing setup few mounts ago for around $700 (using Xbox series s)
Thrustmaster tx base-used
Th8a shifter- used
T3pa pro- used
Sparco r383 wheel- used
NanoRS wheel stand- new
Price variance from region/country to country really plays a big role here. Where I am you cannot find a G29 lower than 330 euro. Whereas the T128 is at 180 to 200. Its the clear winner from the two wheels hands down for that price difference.
ОтветитьDon’t trust fanatic at the moment they are at best good and at worst a scam. You might not even get your wheel, if you do it could be broken and Goodluck getting it fixed.
ОтветитьI've been seeing a few videos about the PXN v12, I was wondering if you had plans to review it, since i am genuinely curious about it.
ОтветитьThe unspoken advantage of a cheap first wheel is most people won't realize how inconvenient the experience is
ОтветитьI got a thrustmaster tmx for 60$ now just waiting to upgrade pedals!
ОтветитьMy first wheel/pedals was back in the mid 90s when I bought one of the first mass marketed sets sold, the Thrustmaster Formula T1 to use with Papyrus Indaycar Racing, and then Papyrus NASCAR Racing around a year later. That setup was a heavy, mainly metal build, but had bungee cord tension for the wheel, which eventually stretched and created a pull to one side in games. My next setup was in 2000, with a Logitech Wingman Formula Force. It was great to upgrade to force feedback, but the it was almost 100% plastic, which felt cheap and felt like I was going to break it if I used it like my old TM, and the pedal base was way too light and moves around the floor. I took an almost 20 year hiatus from sim racing (you know, work and life took over), but 3 years ago wanted to get back into it so I bought a Thrustmaster Ferrari Wireless GT Cockpit 430 Scuderia Edition. That was because, at the time, we had limited space, and this all-in-one, wireless, folding unit was able to be used in our living room with my gaming laptop wired to our entertainment system.
Then 2 years ago, I bought a used T300RS with the T3PA-Pro pedals (with an upgraded base fan) for $500 CND, and I cannot be happier. I added the TH8A shifter and thebTSS handbrake, and a Sparco P310 wheel, for an entire Thrustmaster ecosystems, which, even though the accessories were retail priced, still came up close to the cost of just a wheel, base and 3 pedal set brand new from higher end companies like Fanatec (when consider purchase price, shipping and customs charges).
I now have my setup in my girlfriend and my joint "collector's room/office/sim room" with a wheel/pedal stand (didn't get the seat mount as space is still limited), Logitech surround sound, triple monitors, and a VR headset. I also bought an extra shifter plate and bracket to accommodate the shifter and handbrake, plus found a complete wheel/pedal stand at an Amazon discount out left for $20, and used the 2 shifter plates/brackets to create a keyboard table.
All-in-in, it's a perfect setup for the amount of racing (or gaming) I do, but having a mounted seat and motion would be great, but one or both of our children would have to move out first so I could acquire a larger, dedicated room! Lol
Theres so much fanatec hate now but fanatec ecosysten has been great to me
Ответитьcammus c5
ОтветитьI’ve been heavy on sim racing especially drifting for 3 years but for some unknown reason I never bought a e-brake 😂
ОтветитьMy first wheel was the csl elite bundle f1 and I loved it. just wish that they would have offered the gt dd pro around the same time, as I wanted to have ps5 compatibility. The csl elite wheelbase for playstion was just too much for me at the time for it still being belt driven.
ОтветитьJust bought a T128 as my first wheel and im very pleased with it.
ОтветитьT300rs i sold it because i was bored and covid came and buy the csl elite and now i have the gt dd pro 8nm with v3 pedals and 5 whells...with a playseat challenger...only for ps4/5 my pc is broke😢😢😢😢😢😢
ОтветитьI think that a good set of load cell pedals makes a much larger difference in feedback or consistency than the wheel you start out with.
ОтветитьStill running a t300Gt several years later. The wheelbase and wheel itsefl are simply good enough. I don't feel they're holding me back at all. The pedals however are fairly weak. The T3pa brake pedal leaves a lot to be desired.
I think the T300 pairs very well with the SHH Newt shifter.
I spent €850 on first wheel. Practically overnight I was €3500 in 😅
ОтветитьDon't forget the CAMMUS C5, an excellent Direct Drive option at a very competitive price.
Especially if you have little space and don't have a cockpit, it can fit anywhere.
I had a g923 with a super basic seat, sold them both and upgraded to a r12 and actual seat.
ОтветитьFor all the supposed abilities of the new value DD wheels, availability doesn't seem to be a reality and unfortunately that just makes them kinda pointless to me!
ОтветитьI have the g29, the brake however is extremely stiff. worst part about it

ОтветитьPxn v3 pro is decent for a first
ОтветитьThe TX, T300 are excellent choices for solid racing. It will last until the budget and desire allows for better equipment. Or to realize sim racing is bot a big deal for you. I rocked my Tx to dust, amazing
Ответитьjesus christ, I sim race since 2005 and I always prefer going for cheaper wheels, they are strudy never fail, despise the low forcefeeback and the cheap plastic look, NEVER HAD THE IDEA to get a DD some luxury pedals and stuff, so why the fuck is the low budget hardware is dedicated for "learners" ? it is not.
Ответить30 euro t150
ОтветитьYou are advertising fanatec without mentioning the delivery problems and the qr1 problems. That's not right.
Thousands have been waiting months for their fanatec orders.

The MOZA R3 should be coming out in February for 400 usd. But shipping is alot. Best to goes through of of thier resellers.
ОтветитьI messaged Thrustmaster on amazon and told them to lower thier prices being of newer DDs coming out. They listened and you are welcome.
The T300RS GT is now 200$ less and on sale.
25euro for a second hand G25 + shifter. xD couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the listing. came in the bag and original packaging.
ОтветитьIf you guys want to complete the topic of this video, I have a channel where I present bench and PCs for Sim Racing that are cheap. Plus game settings and other things so you can actually achieve good Fps with the least expense and expeienc ein computing...Thanks!
ОтветитьI really don't know why I'm wstching this, I already have a complete sim racing set up..
ОтветитьI have a TGT, is is worth going to the DD pro?
ОтветитьG29 is an excellent starting point to see if you are going to like it or not. The size of the wheel is rather small, the gear grind is a bit loud, and the optional shifter is just a plastic toy. I had a nice week playing with it. After that I returned it and got myself a direct drive setup.
Mind, that more expensive setup won't make you faster. But it will make it more comfortable/enjoyable/realistic.
G29, or CSL DD or Moza R3 or R12... there basically the main 4 I'd consider.
Although G923 does seem to spin faster than a G29
