Taking advantage of an exploit you know would have been patched if you didn't keep it a secret is, in principle, identical to cheating.
ОтветитьI wish we have the teamspeak
ОтветитьThis is like back when you could fountain hook in Dota. Is it broken? Yes. Is it a part of the game? Also yes. Fact is fnatic had better map knowledge which is a massive part of the game, its about more than just skill. Knowledge IS power and this whole situation proved that.
For TI (Dota) and majors in CS, teams must use every bit of skill AND knowledge to gain a advantage and win, and thats what fnatic did.
Cant blame the winning team for using a strat that works regardless of whether or not you think it should be possible. It is, and nobody else thought of it. Cant be salty because the other team thought of it and yours didnt.
to clarify a point, LDLC didn't use the boost as much as fnatic did. + fnatic got an invisible wall that give them a protection and this is the reason why they decide to FF
ОтветитьIf you find something that is repeatable and technical you should win using that strat, then it's up to the developers to decide if it's to powerful and remove it but replaying the match is dumb
ОтветитьPretty sure a CSGO team almost got disqualified for doing something like this.😂
ОтветитьFnatic deserves the win that boost is legit
ОтветитьThe community bullying the tournament organizers enough to undo an amazing victory. Such a sad outcome 😔
ОтветитьNah they just mad, cause not winning
Using clone account to make bad FNATIC name
How dare they utilise game mechanics to win the game.
Ответитьas a person who has never played counter strike and isnt biased at all. i think it was handled so poorly by the event refs that made the decision. i get they were under pressure from the community but at the end of the day fnc found a way to manipulate the map/game to their adv and deserved the dub, not to mention they didnt even get the chance to remake AND somehow, not only found the 1000iq play, but was able to keep it secret until they needed it most. imo the event ppl and even the cs gods shoulda accepted the result as is and barred anyone from doing it moving forward in the pro scene until they were able to patch it out. if anything its on the game devs, not the players. the fact the players got ANY hate is so wild. id understand if they were my fav team rivals but anyone else is just a hater.
ОтветитьCreativity: 10/10
Sportsmanship: 0/10
”ThAts uNfAiR”🫃
ОтветитьBoosts are part of the game and have been for a long time this one just is very powerful. Patch the boost and give fanatic the win. It’s the equivalent of finding a crazy good angle or finding a wall bang that works really well.
Ответитьthe olofboost in CS:GOs äquivalent of DotA2s fountain hook
both are legendary, both have been rightfully removed;
but unlike in dota, fanatic wasnt allowed to win with this because why?
it was pure awesomeness, and since LDLCs violation of the rules was essentially the same (but with much less payoff), it should have counted as legit
Greatest boost ever. It was an undiscovered exploit which they used to their advantage. No shame here
Ответитьsuch a great moment, and simultaneously the moment i stopped watching CSGO coverage, the most pathetic backlash from a creative play like this and fnatic not getting the win just killed all credibility, so sad
ОтветитьI love how every top comment is one embracing the boost for what it was, while the replies on those comments are the only place the haters' bitterness is shown. Meaning the overwhelmingly popluar opinion is that it was a good thing, while the haters are clearly an overvocal minority, blustering on hypocritically.
ОтветитьAnyone who disliked the boost is just a hater. The essence of competition, and professional sports in particular is innovating, using any means necessary to win within the confines of the rules. If one team violates the rules, it should either be instantly penalized by officials who know the rules by heart, or permit open season for the other team to pull out their own violations.
ОтветитьThat part of CSgo history is a shame, and even more Fnatic's dispute over the LDLC boost which was not as OP...The Olof one was literally impossible to counter..
Ответитьwatching this sucks... cus it was such an amazing thing to witness happen live and then ldlc were being massive babies, i enver watched another game of ldlc after that even if they were against my favorites: nip. i just refused to give anything ldlc my view
ОтветитьFnaric fanboys 😂
ОтветитьThe Olofboost is my favorite thing that ever happened in CS:GO
ОтветитьI've never played CS, or even watched it, but this just seems like people were mad even though both teams did the same thing, one just did it better
ОтветитьLDLC got played it’s really that simple, don’t be a sore loser 😅
Ответить5 years later i still find this hilarious. playing the game as intended
Ответитьthis is so stupid, if you have better knowledge even if it's a bug, it has to be acceptable. especially since they didn't do the boost. this is just excellent map knowledge. fnatic wins that's it. I hate how they make rules over already existing rules. the whole point of these tournaments is to show the better team. better doesn't mean aim and all I see nowadays is the aim. no teams know any map knowledge or any movement. they all stick to aim. It's team like this that innovate and change the whole gameplay of the map.
ОтветитьHow about LDLC get good and stop crying LMAO
ОтветитьWith CSGO coming to an end, this will be the greatest moment in CSGO history , imo.
ОтветитьGod damn ldlc really acted like babies.
ОтветитьI remember watching this live and just being absolutely floored by this never-before-seen strategy and seeing the insane comeback they managed to achieve with it.
ОтветитьCrybabies. Fnatic won, plain and simple.
Only "guilty" party was Valve.
boo fuckin hoo cope you shitters they were just mad they didnt know that before fnatic
ОтветитьThey should revisit this and people's opinions on it now
ОтветитьReminds me of Na'vi fountain hooks in Dota 2 on TI2
ОтветитьIts in the rules that you can use it. Not sure why were poeple crying about it lol
ОтветитьI came to this video again after years just to say, nowadays teams have done boosts of the same way or even worst than this one and everything is fine, but when Fnatic does a boost they get hated and shit on, as the major in 2016 against Liquid on game 3 (cache) where Fnatic should have won, Liquid cheated the system and got away with it, another day for Fnatic hu :)
ОтветитьThis shows that French fans cry no matter how they loose
ОтветитьOnly losers cry over this. This is gaming history. I consciously say that i would have done the same if i was in his place.
Ответитьlmao @ everyone who said this wasnt ok, the olafboost is the single best live esports memory in my entire life and its a disgrace that the outcome got overturned
ОтветитьIf forced to replay I would forfeit too. But I would do it demonstratively. As in show up for the match but not actually play, just spam gg after every round.
ОтветитьIt is like calling guns illegal when everyone else is still using swords. Shame on those hating such genius team
ОтветитьTo repremand the olofboost would be to damn innovation altogether.
Ответитьfuck the people who think their entitled opinions on twitter means shit
ОтветитьThis match is pretty much the Phrase
"You either die as a hero or live enough to be the villain"
Fnatic was on choke hold they clawed their way back but instead of being praised they were mocked and ridiculed by many which is a very sad thing to see
They won the match sure not in a fair but what's the point of a competition if you are not going to apply any kind of new knowledge in it, tbh I think the haters are just salty that fnatic found something in overpass that could help them comeback and all they want to see is pure brawl no strategies whatsoever like what LDLC did in the first half which is really bullshit
The boost was fine in my eyes. If its able to be used on the map that easily then go for it
ОтветитьI never understood the hate they got from pro players. Its not like they are exploiting a smoke bug like astralis or monesy did… the map drawing allowed them to do the boost there, they were genius to find that one boost. Im not even a fnatic fan but they should’ve gone through with the W
Ответитьim glad that fnatic roster didn't quit and continued to play regardless of being called "cheaters"
Ответить
