is it red does it have a dot? its a red dot
ОтветитьNot Made In China...No Good Competition...Same Old, Same Old Engineering.
ОтветитьI understand that the power consumption of a laser-based weapon sight is much greater than that of an LED red dot, but for those of us who like to always have the sight on, could you please consider a dual 123 or 18350 cell EOTECH that drew from only one cell at a time? You could place a small LED in the rear or have the reticle blink to indicate when one cell is consumed. That way, the user would know that he's halfway through his total battery life and replace the spent cell. Thanks!
ОтветитьI don't understand the obsession with shake awake and battery life.
I've been running an EXPS3-4 for a couple of years and I have zero problem with manually turning the optic on and off and swapping out batteries is quick, easy and they last so long I don't swap them out very often at all. I just can't see it ever being a life or death issue.
What was the stock used at the very beginning was it the SI Viper pdw?
ОтветитьIt's especially not a red dot if it's green
ОтветитьHi Chase, what stock is that on you JG AR?
ОтветитьLook, honestly I thought eotech is way too pricey, but when you dive into the details, and after watching the donut, Brandon and admin video then you realize that there's some hard science and some real work going into these things to make them so amazing... Now I actually really need to get a holosight 😮
ОтветитьTechnology has come a long way.
ОтветитьThat's why they are better.
ОтветитьCrazy how the comments are nothing but crying from dudes that maybe shoot a few times per year at some indoor range.

You know, looking back at hops vid on the bushnell holo sight, I kinda think eotech should try to recycle the body design of the bushnell holosight and see if they can make a mini holo sight. It may not fit on a handgun but it could be usefull for a pdw. Maybey even the flux mp17 if small enough.
ОтветитьDoes the single dot exps 3-1 have a longer battery life?
ОтветитьBig 5 Sporting Goods has CR123s, 2 for 4.99 in Oregon.
Best retail storefront price that I've found so far.
Just need to get that battery life up!
ОтветитьYou look like cal scrubby.
ОтветитьGuys I don’t think it’s a red dot
ОтветитьOutstanding. DO they make a holo sight for handguns? Semper FI, Ken
ОтветитьCan we have a demo about the night vision?
ОтветитьHow is this for people with astigmatism that typically see a fuzzy red dot or star burst red dot? Is this reticle any clearer for them, or worse? And what kind of 3x magnifier is suggested for this holographic sight?
ОтветитьI need one - Cheers from Switzerland
ОтветитьIf you add shake awake and improve battery life, I'll maybe finally buy one of these over a red dot...
ОтветитьThere must be an optical scheme to make reflex sights reticle bigger than usual (the actual reticle that is in focus point of the lens, the light source) and so the center dot could be finer than usual.
If somebody know of an optic/patent, whatever that allows that, please share.
I love the 512. Can not beat the availability and cost effectiveness of AA batteries.
ОтветитьNot one that works😂
I worshiped eotech for namesake..,
Let’s be honest LOGOS MAKE YOU SHOOT BETTER.
Mine just completely doesn’t work…..not even 3 years old barely any use. Gun stays in case.
Hate to say this B/C EOTECH is US made but my Chinese HOLOSUN AEMS (NOT holographic) gives very similar results, far longer battery life and very good NV performance - and for much less money.
ОтветитьIs there a dot? - Yes
Is it red? - Yes
It’s a red dot…
okay so its a laser sight
ОтветитьGot myself a green eotech!!!
Ответитьcool red circle
ОтветитьI just retired from the US Border Patrol and the Eotech was very reliable and accurate. I just purchased an EXpS2 . Kinda expensive on retired income but worth it.
ОтветитьI think shake-awake and a dedicated off-switch setting (eg a long double press of both buttons) could easily be added into the existing design as a refresh series without the need of a total overhaul.
ОтветитьCool story… this ad should have been made in 2012.
And you still have no fix for the delamination issues that have been prevalent since 2012/2013?
An EOTech will last a long time if you simply turn it on and off as needed. Shake awake would alleviate this and maybe a solar panel added.
The best advice I have for anyone is to change your batteries every 6 months to a year and just use some rechargeable CR123s. Use a multimeter to test the voltage to know when they’ve got nothing left.
Just have a battery changing day. Weapon lights. Optics. Whatever. Then you have peace of mind.
You're right, a red dot would have actual battery life.
ОтветитьSo its a red dot with extra steps.....
Ответитьbasing drop on 20" barrels is not the best idea as most everyone runs 14.5" or 16" barrel length.
Merely my opinion.
edit: EOTech optics do not project their reticle forward, unlike red dots.
Will an Eotech survive being on a pistol slide tho, i finally have $4300 to spend but Assailant Arms never showed range footage of one of these bad boys on C9?
ОтветитьMy astigmatism is so bad these are just blobs to me. I see you have one that's just a 2moa dot.
Ответить@eotechinc do you need to read the optic after a battery change?
Ответитьsimple differences:
Red dot - small, red dot
Holographic sight (eotech) - big, red dot inside circle outline
My eotech front lens delaminated and the reticle is a blurry mess. They refuse warranty in the Philippines
ОтветитьParallax is not scope shadow. Scope shadow is related to eye relief. Parallax is the reticles position relative to your eye and the target. Example: when you look at the speedometer of a car from the passenger seat, it looks like you are going a different speed than you actually are. In sporting optics this reflects in incorrect POA and POI.
ОтветитьI don’t see light that is being reflected off of mirrors very well, starburst, astigmatism, I don’t see how it matters whether it’s coming from a led or a laser. It’s still electronic and looks like it would be harder to co witness some way for when it fails on you. It’s electronic, it will fail , it’s a given. Think about it, emp caused by some maniac or even the sun , everything electronic and unprotected is toast, all of it, you rely on electronics at your own peril. Stop doing it. Cross hairs etched on glass don’t disappear when the electronics fail, they are permanent.
Ответитьsuch a great product, i plan to buy more
Ответить"this is not a red dot" my visual astigmatism says otherwise. Now get back in the lab!

ОтветитьEotech made the best shit on the market in like 2008. The current stuff is still great but the lack of things like shake awake, solar charging or literally anything innovative in 2024 is crazy. I’ll continue to rock my EXPS-3 with a magnifier on my main AR but I really want to see eotech’s next evolution.
There’s always next SHOT show. Maybe they’ll have something that isn’t just another LVPO or pistol dot.
Is eotech ever going to get the reticle sharper?
