Mine has the same problem, I use it everyday and yea the glue in that spot isn't great but still works fine. My battery door on an old one was hard to shut since had to push in as you shut and slide over, not just click when shut. Never tested to see if would let water in and foul up because they are too expensive to just ruin if it did but have hit with wet hands and no problems
