I’m a native, have a random bachelors, and a TEFL… do you think I could find a job paying at least 1,400 a month? Or is that a tough ask
ОтветитьI went to Siem Reap in 1993. There were just a few backpacker tourists and a couple of guest houses. There were no bars apart from a couple of local places. The Khmer Rouge were still around in the distance at that time but they'd largely been defeated and the UN peacekeepers were leaving.
ОтветитьThere was no tipping when I lived in SE Asia. You might think you're being generous by tipping, but all you're really doing is introducing a tipping culture which will then be expected from foreigners and eventually it will make things more expensive for local people
ОтветитьHow do you survive there? You look too young to have retired?
ОтветитьThe general rule for long-term ex-pats is to learn what the locals do, and emulate that. If the locals do not have a custom of tipping, then don't. Your goal should be to blend in as much as possible by your behavior -- since you will always stand out as an ethnic minority.
ОтветитьAre there any decent hospitals there? Easy to find women?
Ответить🎉🎉❤
ОтветитьHello 👋 is there 7/11 please?
ОтветитьHope you share Khmer New Year experience especially for family with children. Thanks
Ответить$120 a night?!! US dollars?
ОтветитьThe food safety practices throughout SE Asia are absolutely horrendous.
ОтветитьHi matt from Gloomy England enjoying the videos can I ask why cambodia ,had you stay there before ? All the best
ОтветитьÍt the oil they use to cook ưith..chinese bad oil
ОтветитьLived in Tanzania East Africa. Giardia parasite endemic. I know about suddenly getting the runs and hopefully u r at home. Rainy season- frogs frogs frogs. Then mosquito season.
ОтветитьYou can get a lovely hotelroom with ac , pool etc for 5 bucks!
ОтветитьGreat video Matt,Nicely put together
ОтветитьYeah that was the worst thing for me in the beginning, the stomach problems , but after a few months your body builds up it's defence. And yes the best thing is the people, such lovely people.
ОтветитьCambodia is a huge center for catfishing and internet scams. China controls the country and Chinese gangs control the scammers.
ОтветитьHow's the language barrier in SR for you ? How's the internet there too
ОтветитьGood food and good service deserve a tip
ОтветитьWhat are the licensing reqs to ride a motorcycle like that?
Ответить$120. a night? in siem reap I found hotels for $20 . a night
shipping is a task in being patience ....still waiting for a package here for over 3 weeks now.
Good video McKenzie
ОтветитьI recently left my local job here in Phoenix to commit all my time to building my video marketing business remotely so I can find financial stability to Work from Siem Reap and live there. Thank you for sharing this video and giving me some valuable insight!
ОтветитьYour bowel movements are too much information Matt.
ОтветитьI went to Cambodia 30 times.last time I was there I fell 3 stories out of a building and nearly died.nice I caught a stomach bug that took 6 months to go away.i found my a great woman here in Australia.but if I was single I would be back tin a heartbeat
ОтветитьPissed myself laughing at the toilet comments, but winced at the same time. I have exactly the same issue with food in Southeast Asia East - is today gonna be the day? Every place I eat I find where the nearest toilet is first.
ОтветитьAnyone visiting Siem Reap for the first time will likely return home with fond memories of their trip. On the flip side, anyone who has lived here for any length of time (5, 10, or more years), and to whom the real Cambodia has been revealed, will struggle to find many kind words to say. If you originate from a country in the same league as Cambodia, then you won't have a clue as to what I'm saying here.
Ответить$120 a night? I hope it's a real real nice hotel? Mosquitos and rats in the room I assume are rare in the $120 a night hotel. Great information.
ОтветитьSeems like it's a blast over there!
ОтветитьWhen are you doing a wee walk-about in your tartans?
ОтветитьCareful of street drinks and food. It is the water which carries the strange bacteria. Good to take worm tablets every few months. I have used the postal service in Siem Reap and Kampot, never a problem or extra charge from customs.
During the Covid years I watched several western alcoholics who ran out of money, ended up on the streets for a few months. Then they straightened up and got jobs. Strange world. Keep up the good videos. Cheers
Thank for visit Cambodia
Ответитьdont tip and do not and dont ever tip. you westerner are a very bad influence. you westerner always cause bad problem. this is how you created bad behavior
ОтветитьTipping is for half witted Americans
Ответить$120 a night? I don’t think so.
ОтветитьThanks for the video 🙂
ОтветитьGreat tips, appreciate it. As for tummy issues, buy pumpkin seeds, eat papaya, pineapple, Coconut oil, pomegranate etc . Any type of probiotic/enzyme that will keep you protected from parasites/bacteria/bugs. Don't drink the water and eat where the locals eat.
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO, YOU ARE SO FUNNY. 😂😂😂😂😂
Ответитьthe worst thing must surely be that everyone assumes you live there for the young people you want to make very intimate friendships with because its often true about men who live in Cambodia
ОтветитьWell done Matt. Excellent coverage. I am coming over in November for a month on holiday. Really looking forward to it. Kind Regards Darren. UK
ОтветитьMail. can you share name of companies or links in the description? the warehouses from China topic. Thanks for the videos, and enjoy the island!
ОтветитьGood weight loss program lol
ОтветитьRegarding the shitting matter in Asia it is spicy food with very high content of undercooked fiber causes that. I remember a couple of cases with foregners happened.
Ответитьlove your style.. no bullshit, no preamble, no "smash that like button" bullshit
sharp and to the point
Thanks for the tip about buying stuff straight from China and having it shipped to a warehouse, but what site(s) do you use to do that?
