Singapore in 12 hours? #singaporetravel

Singapore in 12 hours?! Yup, with Singapore’s efficient and clean MRT system, AND lots of walking, you can do it! If you have a Changi airport LONG lay-over — store your bags and get going! Follow me for Southeast Asia travel & luxury trips. Share your Singapore layovers below.

- At Changi Airport, so many places to eat. Typical Singaporean breakfast is Nasi Lemak or Kaya toast with Kopi, of course!
- During certain days of the week, the Jewel’s Vortex waterfall begins at 10am* or 11am. Oooh Ahh. Take pics - let’s go!
- Follow the signs for MRT Train to Singapore. It’s about a 30-40 min ride.
- Stop at the Chinatown marker and walk to your preferred sites.
- Tooth Relic Temple is a favorite stop. And, their beautiful museum on the 3rd floor is a relief from the heat. The top floor is a tranquil rooftop garden with a stunning prayer wheel.
- Getting hungry! Maxwell Food (Hawker) Centre is a minute walk away.
- We ordered the famous Chicken Rice and other goodies! Yum! Follow me for Singapore dining etiquette.
- After eating, we walked to the MRT and headed for the Gardens by the Bay.
- We walked around the Gardens and found the Supertrees. (Didn’t have time for the Cloud Forest or Flower Dome — Next time!)
- Hungry again! So, we walked past the Supertrees to the “Satay by the Bay” Hawker Center. Grabbed a quick satay snack!
- Hurried back to the Supertrees for the first showing of the Supertrees Light show! So Cool! It’s about 15 min long...
- We hurried to the MRT and headed back to Changi airport.
- AND we made the late showing for the Vortex Light show!
- WHEW. We did it!...Now, let’s go find dinner at the Jewel center at the Changi Airport!
