I love how realistic the progression in this city is, though man every nice old building demolished makes me sad
ОтветитьLooks good! I'm excited to see what happens in that field between the 70s and 2000s high-rises
ОтветитьI love how the Waldorf Astoria Berlin is just placed totally random there hahah
ОтветитьI love detailing for realism, especially to achieve aesthetics the game doesn't necessarily generate easily. However I simply don't have the patience, ability or most importantly, hardware, to do what you can to for this amazing Central European city, so every time I come acrosss an Altengrad video it's just pure feast for the eyes.
ОтветитьShoutout for the Aurelia footpath
ОтветитьOmg videos are somewhat constant... I'm not meaning to impose any "pression", i just really enjoy this series.
ОтветитьYou mentioned the "high rise" in Pécs, Hungary before, it's still visible on the 3D map - in case you want to see how a single tower looks like in the middle of an otherwise mid-low rise city. We still have a smaller tower, but that's apparently decent.
Also, in the middle of Budapest an old rail yard called "Rákosrendező" had a little skyscraper related fiasco recently: the Saudi investor wanted to build a 500 meters tall tower right there. It wouldn't simply be the tallest building in the city (and in central Europe, if I remember correctly), but it would also be taller than the mountain on the other side of the river. Also, that specific place intersects with the corridor of the air field, so nothing above 200 meters is allowed, but the contract included a clause to modify any building regulations, according to the investor's wishes. Fortunately this was a government project, and the city's leadership found a way to stop it.
I love that you are back. Don't overwork yourself. We'll be here and wait patiently on new altengrad
ОтветитьThis is outragous! i demand a new busstation!
ОтветитьI was sure you will mention Konstantynów/Warsaw Radio mast that was tallest man made structure (646 m) since 1971 untill Burj Khalifa. It collapsed 91'. Nice episode, thanks!
ОтветитьI'm so happy that you keep posting, I follow it as if it were a TV series, I even make popcorn to watch the video 🥹😅
ОтветитьI'm starting to think you might just be good at building in CS¹ and in storytelling 😉
ОтветитьFinally another episode of altengrad ❤❤❤
ОтветитьCool Akuras.
ОтветитьGreat informative episode. Loved the construction areas.
ОтветитьWe're getting closer to the late 2000s/early 2010s, what about building a modern stadium (like Poland/Ukraine did for Euro 2012) to replace the old olympic stadium with tracks?
ОтветитьGreat video as usual! 😊
ОтветитьMods you use sometimes dont work for me, idk why
ОтветитьInsane as always, I love your attention to detail and creating the lore and providing us with reasons for which some parts of the city look one way or the other!
Ответитьhow to scale props and decals with moveit?
ОтветитьAmazing! Love seeing the time progression and learning about stuff. Peak Cities Skylines content !!!
Ответитьgreat video as always! are the office buildings you place at minute six from an expansion pack or from the workshop?
ОтветитьSlowly but surely, Altengrad is turning into Aurelia.
ОтветитьOh man I still remeber when Altengrad was only a palace connected to an oldtown, now we are talking about skyscrapers!!
Ответитьyou forgot to talk about the derzhprom (the state industries) building in Kharkiv, Ukraine (formerly USSR) which was finished in 1928 and was the 3rd tallest building in Europe with Grand look in front of the massive square
Yes I'm saying this only because i'm from Kharkiv, but it still a very important structure for the whole of europe at that time and especially for your topic.
Oh yes, my favorite history and architecture creator is back in full force! I love Altengrad so much. Watching how it changes and grows through times makes me feel like a citizen of Altengrad. ❤
ОтветитьI'm in love with this station. It looks so good and detailed and colourful...
ОтветитьPleace build a small airport. But the map is very good
ОтветитьOmg the 2010s are gonna be so interesting!
ОтветитьExcellent as always.
ОтветитьI’ve waited for a skyscraper episode since the start… did not disappoint!
ОтветитьHey, you probably won't read this but i finished my first year of Architecture at my uni because of this series. You were a major component in making me decide to study something I love, and I can't thank you enough for how your videos inspired me.
Ответить"extend the railway bridge", Oh thank God, I was worried that railway station was either going to end up abandoned or a McDonalds.
ОтветитьIt’s a reason why Warsaw city center is awful.
ОтветитьJust finished a half-marathon and this is the best gift for relaxing after the run :D
So amazing that the city has progressed through all these times, hard to remember all the old projects at this point :)
Think it would be cool if altengrad had a main street whit western stores along it like h&m atc
ОтветитьAirport when?
ОтветитьAny reason altengrad doesnt have an airport??? Or just limitations of the game
ОтветитьVery nice! I love it!
Ответитьas a Pole, I think that the city center of Warsaw is simply ugly and I would prefer to live in a world where only the Palace of Culture exists
Ответить@Akruas Sir can I ask you a favor??
ОтветитьI wonder what'll happen to the train station... a big infrastructure project, eh? An above-ground metro train line that ducks underground in the centre??
Ответить
