Scotch® Shipping Packaging Tape Dispenser – Commercial Grade

I cannot use it and it is very awkward as it doesn’t cut or really work. I do not understand 3 M followers either as I have had zero joy with this.

So, they stop the video short of cutting the tape, because the safety mechanism is flawed. Simple solution to turn this dispenser into a working one by disengaging the safety mechanism. Proceed at your own risk. Remove the two screws attaching the clear plastic safety plate. DISCARD the clear plastic plate. Remove the two screws holding the blade in place. Remove the spring. It's aggravating but can be done without the removal of any more screws. DISCARD the spring. Replace the blade. Replace the two screws that attach the plastic plate, but WITHOUT the plastic plate. With the plastic plate removed the screws are long enough to engage the round bar behind the plate which holds the blade mechanism forward. When you are done you should have a working dispenser.

Which is a better alternative without
going thru all the baloney?

I had no problem loading these a few years ago when I was moving. Now I cannot get the threading. Do I have to put speed on super slow?
What happened to my mind or dispenser? ( You can ditch the music).

we got this tape dispenser and it is literally the worst. it doesn’t cut, the tape slides out, it’s wasn’t designed smartly. do not recommend buying.

There is a very small red plastic guard over the blade. No one mentions that just pull forward and it will come off.

This thing is the biggest piece of shit. Do not buy. 3M is booty here.

It would be really helpful if you actually showed that the tape feeds between the lower hinged metal flipper and the black rubber roller. I cant believe that this video fails to show that step.

I have been using tape guns for 40 years and was excited to find one with the padded handle. WORST tape gun ever! I cannot even write a review for it at the store I bought it from. The blade design sucks. You can see by the video the woman was having trouble using it too.

This tape gun/dispenser is complete garbage. Wastes a lot of tape each time you finish or start a new taping operation. Garbage!
