Personally, I have not watched opening ceremonies in a long time, but based on the short versions I have seen, it does appear the 2014 ceremony in Sochi was far more dignified, and family-friendly than the drag-show primetime promotion mess in Paris! Maybe the Olympics, and Super Bowls need to stick more to sports? Ya think?

The part where one of the Olympic rings didn't form was noticeably...missing 😅
But that doesn't ruin the rest of this ceremony. I mean whether classical or Soviet, you can't help but appreciate Russian music. So glad they played Time, Forward by Sviridov again like they did during the handover part of the Vancouver 2010 closing ceremony.
