I try to go for a 45 to 60 minute run at the end of my intermittant fast, i.e. after 16 to 18 hours of fasting. By that time, there is little glycose in my blood stream, so everything my muscles need has to come from my liver. I find that this significantly helps me lose weight, and I assume that over time, it also has improved my metabolic flexibility.
In contrast, physical activity e.g. 4 hours after a meal is indeed quite ineffective in losing weight, just as Dr. Ekberg says.

They saw sodas a sign of affluence. With time natural fruit waters have been replaced with sodas. Also they now have a lot of American restaurants in Mexico which is also seen as an affluent status. Everyone now wants to eat at McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, etc etc. We used to go out and have street tacos and a small skinny sized soft drink as a treat to n Mexico. Now my cousins want to go to American fast food restaurants when we go to visit. Burgers and fries, and pizza are replacing tacos and the traditional vegan dishes with home made corn tortillas.

She had 6 brothers and sisters that were slim, because they got lots of exercise. She was the only one who never did anything but sit at home. Since then, I have believed that no matter what you eat that exercise is the magic to being healthy. My mother also ate too much and sat around all day. She had medical conditions and died young.

First off all: corn is not a waste product. It is deliberatlly produced on land, that could be used to grow other stuff, if corn wasn't demanded.
So no, corn doesn't have to go anywhere. If nobody wanted it, they could plant something different next season.
Secondly: Even if corn was surplus, cattle farmers are under no obligation to use it.
So his arguement makes no sense any way you look at it.

ОтветитьThe main reason this happened is because the Mexicans stopped farming corn and started buying it from the USA. They have been buying GMO corn which has been Mexico’s down fall. Lucky, the current President (A Woman) has banned buying corn from the USA and has pushed to only consume corn that is not GMO, from their local farmers. They said that this will cause a huge shortage of corn, but will be short term.
