I can’t wait to see David in concert this weekend.
ОтветитьPlease react to the warning Live…. Any song from the concert at the Pepsi Center will do… They are the best current rock band in the world ! Ignore them no more !
ОтветитьThis is another one of those one’s that the pulse version is just on another level. I probably listen to that live album more than any individual studio album.
ОтветитьI’m tired of people pushing the David vs Roger thing. Come on folks. They were two sides of the same coin. Equal but different. Both geniuses in their own right. Fixating on the feud or taking sides is missing the point. We were ALL very fortunate to have both of them together during the time we did. Let’s face it, during that era there was all the other music in the world (and a ton of pretty amazing stuff) and then there was Pink Floyd. Show them the respect they deserve please.
ОтветитьWell, recorded by 3 members and Richard Wright. Pretty sure by this time Richard and been fired from the band and paid as a session musician to record, and he was hired again for the tour.
ОтветитьPink is urging the fans to run from the Gestapo type police, that's why 'you better park your car well out of sight'
ОтветитьIt's much more about escaping persecution than it is them actually coming after people. Hoping one day I can get my ear trained to better recognize intervals, like you can.
ОтветитьWatch the MOVIE
ОтветитьReact to money
ОтветитьI was lucky enough to be in the crowd of The Wall movie... I remember a poor choreographer trying to instruct hoards of skinheads in dance moves to go with this song.... Very funny
ОтветитьI do not know if this is the proper location to contact you but here it goes anyway.
Here is an album that may be quite delightful to listen to. Its called "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" by the Alan Parsons Project .
The 1987 version is the best.
If you are entertained by a bit of Edgar Allan Poe then you will certainly enjoy it !
Btw , Alan Parsons produced Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album 😉
Hi Doug, once you have seen the film from beginning to end, you will understand.
From the list of lasts, for this song, you forgot Pink Floyd only play this song as the very last song for the gigs.
The last of the encore songs!!!!
I wonder why? 🤔
Hi doug, please reaction isyana sarasvati "unlock the key"
ОтветитьI'd love a full album reaction ❤ thanks for this!
ОтветитьIf you haven't, I would recommend watching The Wall film version with Bob Geldof playing Pink.
ОтветитьHave you seen the The Wall movie yet? It's really freaking heavy.
ОтветитьThis whole episode in the film is about the rise of fascist gangs.
ОтветитьWould love to hear your thoughts on the final cut the last Floyd album it's an album that divides fan's personally I like it but many think it's rubbish
ОтветитьMe: Whew... I need a break from all the fear and dread that we might install a literal fascist with violent revenge fantasies in the White House. I know! I'll check out what's going on with Doug.
Doug:
Please check out the PULSE LIVE version of Run Like Hell (fasten your seat belt).
ОтветитьITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL by Blackshape should be the next review, please.
Ответитьyou need to review any of lord of the rings soundtracks, imo best is lighting of the beacons, its 9 minutes of various amazing themes
ОтветитьHi ! Do check out this new release “I’ll Be There” by Jin, out tomorrow on OCT 25th, it’s a rock vibes song 🎸, his debut album “HAPPY” is out on NOV. 15 ! ✌🏻
ОтветитьThis was surprisingly light on music analysis. I expected some discussion on the blocky major chords in the hook. Is it a chord progression or a simple melody expressed through major chords?
ОтветитьGreat track! Lee Ritenour bought in to beef up the track !
ОтветитьYou should check out Renaissance, specifically any of the 9 minute songs from their album Turn of the Cards, or the entire album even! Incredible prog rock band, they have full orchestra on most of their albums I think you would like it
ОтветитьRun Like Hell is a great track. It is however possibly the least like a "Pink Floyd" track of any PF track that I know. which is saying a lot given the variety of music they have made over the years. Keep Reacting!
ОтветитьHey doug. Enjoy your reactions. Couple suggestions. John denver rocky mountain high. Elton john. Madman across the water. Probably my favourite elton song
ОтветитьListen to P.U.L.S.E version.... much better
ОтветитьDavid Gilmour had an epic live concert: Remember that night.
David Crisby, Graham Nash and David Bowie were among the guest musicians.
I hope, that you Doug, one day do see the great film "the wall" made by Pink Floyd, that might be one of the most theatrical and spectacular rock music filled with all those emotions. At least you mentioned it on Patreon that you would and then you would need some strong drinks to accompany you :)
ОтветитьRoger Waters interview by Tommy Vance 1979 "The Friday Rock Show" BBC Radio 1, originally broadcast 30th November 1979. i went to see the wall performed in 1980 at Earls court London twice i have been to see David perform many times and never been disappointed I have just been to see David play live at the Royal Albert Hall London11 10 2024 Absolutely fantastic concert Luck and Strange
ОтветитьYou might be able to upload it soon. Pink Floyd is about to sell their entire catalogue for 500 million $
ОтветитьPink Floyd sounding like Rush and U2? I think it's the other way around Doug...
ОтветитьDo Bodycount Comfortably Numb
ОтветитьThanks! Hi Doug, I'm Wayne from Calgary.
I really like your reactions. Especially, that you can tell the key. Ive never been able to do that but, now I can recognize high E.
Anyway, im hoping this donation will buy me a request. Its something i think you would really appreciate. Its the title track from another concept album from 1971. These guys are not well known but, after release, it sold 7000 copies both in Winnipeg and Toronto. They are an English band. With a very distinct sound. This album was mostly unplugged and it is a fav of mine with several fav tracks. The band is called Audience, the title is called House on the Hill. Honorable mentions include: Jackdaw, Indian Summer and an awesome cover of I Put a Spell On You.
I think we could play something new like estas tonne 1 guy with acoustic guitar he's got talent and got some good selection of songs 1 of them being the song of the golden dragon and should probably get more attention for how good he plays doug.I would recommend him to watch estas tonne people if u haven't yet.
ОтветитьThe live version on "P.U.L.S.E" is amazing, but the one on "Is There Anybody Out There?" is out of this world!
ОтветитьThis guy is an idiot
ОтветитьReally wish he’d do anything off of the mars voltas Deloused album
ОтветитьRun Like Hell is a great track to hear your views on. You still need to do Quadrophenia by The Who, Pete Townsend's use of ambient sounds throughout the intro. The whole album is worth hearing your interpretation.
ОтветитьI remember many nights in the 80s in rural Suffolk UK. We'd find 'session' spots. Drive out, park up, roll up. And that would consist of a few smokes and a couple of Floyd/Genesis albums.
ОтветитьThe Wall is a Masterpiece
ОтветитьOne of one two songs on the album penned by Dave Gilmour
ОтветитьJust watch the movie if you haven’t got it yet. It’s about the descent from narcissism into fascism.
ОтветитьI would for sure spend few bucks to hang for a full reaction to the album. Maybe like drop box or whatever. I would suggest watching the movie first, it's a piece of art in a place in time.
ОтветитьI have real problems with this album stemming from it being introduced to be by a two hour special on BBC Radio 1. The message being mangled with standard DJ inane questions. I also know eventually we’ll hit the courtroom scene…Waters at his worse. TBH the whole thing is poor remake of Tommy.
