I've just watched my first video on your channel. I'm hooked.
The piece here reminds me of one in our kichen when I was 4 or 5. It did double duty for hide-and -seek and playing grocery store. Thanks from a Hoosier-by-birth for the memories.👍
What a fantastic job! I love it! I think it's so kind that you took the time to keep & paint the doors, just in case... What a heart you have...😊🙏💕💐
ОтветитьWow Barry!! I know it was a lot of work, but it turned out beautifully. Thank you😊
ОтветитьWhat à job! Amasing !❤
ОтветитьI hade one of those a couple of decades ago. It was found in a barn and been used as a chicken roost. It turned out to be a beautiful oak piece of furniture. Brings back memories.
ОтветитьBrought tears to my eyes seeing how lovingly you were restoring this piece for her even though she is no longer here on earth. Her Mother, I'm sure, will always cherish this piece. You have a good heart Barry💞
ОтветитьGreat job on this lovely piece of furniture.(I hope she will change her mind and use the doors!)
ОтветитьIncredible diligence! Nerves of steel! Amazing work ~ I always love the SW EMERALD line of paint…so sad about the accident…very provident that she requested you at the right time. Many things are meant to be…amazing work, you are a Saint to have completed this one. God Bless.
Ответитьso much love when into restoring this piece , beautiful work
Ответить❤I love the new look
ОтветитьGorgeous! Just amazing work into this piece to make it beautiful once again.
ОтветитьSo very nice.
Ответить👍 What would you do if it IS lead paint?
ОтветитьYou should have restored all the pieces for the cabinet
ОтветитьThis was a tough one for sure, it looked as if it were ready to fall apart. You can tell that you put your heart into these pieces, and this one especially needed it. I also loved that you finished the doors and all of the hardware for its new keeper, jic. 😊👌
ОтветитьAn owl decal inside the cabinet door would be sweet. 🦉
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful transformation - I think the original creator would be proud to know that this piece is still so beautiful! Sending you a big hug straight from Minas Gerais -Brazil.
ОтветитьSo sad but memories remain with this beautiful Hoosier! Beautiful job!
ОтветитьWhere did you get the Lane box? I have one too. When i graduated from grade school, a local furniture store gave every graduate one. Great marketing if you ask me. Many people in the area shopped there.
Gorgeous piece. I'd give my eye teeth to own it.
I watched this one before Barry, your care and kind heart speaks to me. ❤❤❤
ОтветитьWow! I totally felt your dread in the beginning, sir, but what an outstanding job that turned out to
be! Bravo! 👏👏
Off topic, but that purple clematis is beautiful
ОтветитьYou are a good man… I want to be like you!!!😊
ОтветитьBeautiful work. I'm glad it's being repurposed
ОтветитьYour videos are helpful and give the push I need to get to work on my own "rescues"! Do you buy and restore furniture for resale or "on assignment" for people who own the pieces but may not have the time or skill to do the work themselves?
ОтветитьBeautiful work! Bravo!!
ОтветитьI shook my head through all of this video. Such a tough project but you prevailed ! ✨🌟✨
ОтветитьI agree with elaine holthaus, but would go even further. You are an Old Soul who divulges your life philosophy while you repair/restore items of furniture. It is truly a joy to learn from you. Some of us are able to reflect on our life experiences as well as observations of others (hopefully without harsh judgement or arrogant superiority). We can admit our own foibles and outright shortcomings and learn and grow from them. That gives us both empathy and wisdom. I feel so much compassion for those who, for whatever reason, are unable to do this. Life must be so painful for such people. Truly a life without honest self-reflection, is a life not worth living. I salute you for your wisdom; it's so refreshing in someone so relatively young (to me). I'm learning about furniture restoration, as well as self-growth and personal-inner-self-restoration in the process. Bless you!
ОтветитьBeautify done ❤
ОтветитьIt is always a Joy o watch you achieve your Goal...this piece is perfect example...thank you...dgp/uk
Ответить😢 This was just touching. That looked like it was beyond repair. Your talent comes from the heart. Total respect to you ❤
Ответитьamazing
ОтветитьPaint over wood makes me sad 😢
ОтветитьQue paciência você tem!
Ответить@madcitymodern what are the products you used in this? The finish and the stuff for the metal racks
ОтветитьI have a very similar piece that I am working on now!
ОтветитьThis is a stunning makeover. The patience you have is astounding. Beautiful makeover!
ОтветитьI have recently purchased a Hoosier that is exactly like the one mom hD when I was a child. It has two or three layers of very thick paint and is in pretty rough shape. I do not have the tools or skills to really fix it right like you did. However, I am gonna do my best. I dread the long messy stripping process.
ОтветитьBeautifully restored! So much work! I’m pretty sure I have the exact same Hoosier cabinet. Restored it myself around 15 years ago!💕😊
ОтветитьThis was a enjoyable video to watch! "Very good Restoration" Looks Great ..!!
ОтветитьWoow woow woow.
ОтветитьThanks for this. I'm trying to surprise my mother by restoring her old Hoosier cabinet, but I was unsure of how to do some of it. This is very helpful!!
ОтветитьBela restauração 👏👏👏
ОтветитьPaint scrapping took most of ur time , so many layered paint coat.
ОтветитьThank You for sharing the Love.
ОтветитьBeautiful restoration.
ОтветитьThe owner wanted the doors off. That killed this piece. Your work was nice but the owner took all of its character away. Sad
ОтветитьThat was a thing of beauty restoration. Ty!
ОтветитьAmazing it looks brand new! Great work.❤
ОтветитьPLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO ANY MESSAGES IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. ONCE AGAIN, SOMEONE IS ATTEMPTING A SCAM BY IMPERSONATING ME. I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR SUPPORT. BARRY
