Fulton J. Sheen was the greatest speaker, communicator and intellectual of the 20th century whose heart was filled with love for Jesus and guided by the fire of Holy Spirit. Even now, decades later, whoever watches the videos of him speak and preach will be touched and at awe by him, this great humble man who brought so many souls back to God. I'm a girl from Croatia and I pray that he is proclaimed a saint soon. I know that he is in heaven now and still praying for all of us here. What a truly inspiring soul he was. Thank you Bishop Barron for posting this and making the film about him. Lots of love from Croatia.

Finally, someone as great as Archbishop Fulton Sheen has brought him back to life. A man who proclaimed the Word in an "UnCatholic" way but relevant in his time. A man who responded to the wave of Pentecostalism in America hence reestablishing the truth embedded in the Word. He was a Church Father, a Proclaimer, a Teacher, an Educator, and Lover of the Word of God. May the vibe of Archbishop Fulton Sheen eradicate the three minutes opium-homilies of our time in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Fulton Sheen is a hero for all time, punished by his hierarchy for his integrity and honor. He spoke the truth and witnessed to millions of people, both Catholic and non-Catholic. He bore his punishment with the grace and humility that makes a good man and a great saint.

His wisdom and dignity, his devotion to Our Lord and the Blessed Mother, his reverence for the sacraments and his dedication to his flock are shown in every word and in every action. And we have an unusually large storehouse of both his words and actions.

May he continue to inspire the Church militant while he celebrates with the Church triumphant. Especially his favorite author, Chesterton. What a conversation they must be having!

One of the problems I see with confessing your mortal sins to a priest is, only your good works done in the state of grace count . So if you do any good works in the state of mortal sin they are done in vain . So if you can’t get to see a priest for a few days all good works will be meaningless. So if I saw someone in desperate need while in the state of mortal sin should I tell them sorry but you’ll have wait few days till I’m in the state of grace or should I forgo my reward from God and help them immediately. What would God want me to do ? Just trying to show you how ridiculous is confession to a priest and unbiblical waiting to see a priest to have your sins forgiven

If only all bishops were like him. The devil once said of St John Vianney: "If only there were 3 priests in the world like you, my kingdom would be ruined". Time to let go of modern thinking, and start to follow and believe ALL that Jesus said.

I have all the Pivotal Players series and the one on St. Benedict has some scenes at the Archabbey of St. Meinrad where I will make my profession as an oblate later this year. I can't wait to see this latest episode. Bishop Sheen was such an inspiration and even now he speaks to me, as does Bishop Barron who I think is a modern Bishop Sheen.

Its actually Venerable Fulton J Sheen, soon to be Blessed.

Hearing his voice brought me to tears. Fulton Sheen was my very first catechist when I was a doubting and confused teenager filled with in insecurities and sadness. He kept me in the faith. I vividly remember listening to him lecture about the celestial dance of love that is the Holy Trinity as I stared at the night sky during a camping trip.

His beatification is long over due! Make this great man a saint!

A truly remarkable man and herald of the gospel. I was immensely inspired by him in my seminary days. He communicated the faith so easily and effortlessly that it is appealing. Lets hope he is raised to sainthood.
