I read somewhere that most stormtroopers don't actually die when hit, because the Armour is designed to disperse the energy across their entire body knocking them out cold or stunning them hence why they scream, while clone armor is designed to keep them in the fight, but shots are more lethal to them. it was probably retconned tho.

I had this idea one time. I was watching Star Wars 4 and th and thought that maybe when we see stormtroopers get shot they're not actually dead, you know, because of the body armor. We just never see them get back up. Then I saw this video. Yeah. No. They're f*ckin dead. DRT.

This is honestly why is becoming so boring to watch star wars (other more reasons too), the constant non threat to the protagonist since you know they have plot armor. either they find a way to add canon fodder or something that actually makes you feel your protagonist are at risk, stormtrooper are supposed to be the best, and here we just watch a bunch of clowns you know are going to miss all shots and get killed.

Disney takes no risk, and its boring with SW (its more important to show new genders rather than expand the universe in a natural way)

Disney ruined stormtroopers. In the original movie they weren‘t supposed to kill our heroes half the time that‘s why they purposefully missed and they were an a tail threat most of the time and even captured Lesa. Now they are just comedic relief characters that get mowed down in the dozens in every battle scene.

Disney ruins everything. We went from the Mando merciless killing and incinerating Storm Troopers in the dark, we got the Mando killing 50 at a time in a crappy CGI battle

not sure they all die: a lot not even show an entry hole on their armor after being shot, maybe the shot just knocked them back and unconscious but most survive

I think the 501st republic is more badass than stormtroopers. When they become stormtroopers they are even more relaxed not flexible like republic.

Storm troopers need far better armor aim and vision even though it's the helmet blocking their vision oh and training too
