OMG, what a scoop! Assuming this claim is true, there is no company in which problems the CEO notices would NOT get special attention. Have you ever worked for a company that actually makes things? If the CEO is clued into the technology, and notices issues that would probably bug other drivers, his engineers would be negligent if they DIDN'T pay attention to his complaints. But the idea that the "routes are optimized" is pretty hard to believe. Maybe you should try actually watching some of the videos from FSD beta testers. They constantly change their routes to try to find edge cases that challenge the FSD systems--which is exactly what they should be doing, as beta testers--and when their problems are fixed, they look for more. I watched one yesterday featuring an incredibly challenging route into the hills way above San Carlos, CA. The road was narrow, cars were coming down in the opposite direction, parked close to the road, lighting was sometimes very challenging, and the latest FSD beta handled it all with only a couple of minor hesitations involving permanently blocked roads on Laurel Street--which were not marked on the map.

I don't argue the routes used by CC like "Whole Mars Catalog" sometime seem a bit "Too Good". In fact, I have challenge him to drive a completely new route never used before and then see how well FSD performs. I am a Tesla and FSD Fan so don't take my comments a negative towards Tesla. All I can say is my FSD is not as smooth as Whole Mars' rides. (Gulfport, MS)

Don't think for one second Elon Musk isn't in on the scam. My FSD 12.4.3 is really good until it isn't. It is nowhere near ready for robotaxis. It's dangerous around tight curves. I'm constantly rescuing myself from accidents in those situations. And try to drive this in moderate rain or fog. In those situations I've mentioned, FSD absolutely sucks compared to humans. I want it to succeed since I've spent so much money on it. But I'm tired being fooled by the promises.

The Elon story sounds like clickbait. No doubt some developers optimized FSD to work in the most commonly driven areas. And developers also likely took the feedback from Elon and beta testers as a priority in fixing bugs. But the true test is having AutoPilot and FSD perform well in a wider variety of use cases especially with (free) Autopilot, as most Tesla owners use it daily. And it needs to perform well for every customer/driver. The Taycan sales dip is pretty obvious why it happened. All automakers face this old model sales drop-off issue when announcing a new model. Rimac is great, and they deserve accolades, and a special model to celebrate their achievements!

If true, this is another Dieselgate..., where employees are forced to device a cheating mechanism in order to meet superior's expectations. At VW they did this to meet unrealistic regulators/management expectations. At Tesla case they did this to meet Elon's expectation. Life finds a way.

I can't see how it matters, my wife's model Y drives impeccably on FSD 12.3.6 and I am nowhere near Elon. Even autopilot on my Cybertruck works well, I'm waiting for FSD. Some people needed to get their cars calibrated for the system to work like it is supposed to. You seem to be comparing this system to Way-Mo which is like comparing apples to oranges.

Elon is anti human. He wants robots and Robo Taxis everywhere. He is trying to sell products and get rid of jobs.

Nobody in America wants a car. SUV or nothing. Porsche needs to make a vehicle Americans want. The VW iD Buzz is way too far behind in So Cal.

Solar curtailment is not an issue in China. Yes they have huge amount of solar, but they are still building coal plants to supply enough power. Grid battery storage isn't needed in that case.
