i don't get how people complain about games being political nowadays when political games have existed since the 90s. Metal Gear. Final Fantasy. Many JRPGs. every Fallout game. Bioshock. The Yakuza games.

I didn't realize this when I did my own video. But he's talking about Flintlock and checking off diversity boxes, while also playing Flintlock. I'm not entirely sure if he is actually playing it or not, but why use gameplay footage for 80% of the video?

So there is something I don't entirely get, as someone who regularly attends Mass.
Why does it matter if you see a fictional character that is gay/transgender/female/a witch usw. in a computer game?
Leaving aside the possibility of them also being Christians, can't Andypants still go to church/attend chapel or do any other of things to live in Christ?
Not to mention how one of the big games of my Childhood, Populous: The Beginning, has a magic wielding woman (The Shaman) commanding an entire tribe where everyone else is a man and breeding happens when the men are sent into huts together, and I still found Jesus.

He's speaking what many are thinking. He goes hard with his language sure, but he understands how overtly Social Liberalism has creept into gaming and one of the maine changes making AAA games overall worse.

Generally speaking, opinions and themes have to be soften for the LGBT and female crowd, and this is overall damping creative freedom in games. It's partly why we almost never see games like the Gears Of War or CoDs of old (yes I'm aware of GoW E-Day, but that is a rarity and old happening because the franchise is dying).

I side more with his takes than yours because he sees the issue, you don't, even if his explanation is more a rant than anything else.

I am with Andy in this one, most well known AAA companies, support lgbt, and this keeps spreading year after year. And this is so stupid, and they know that most gamers in the world get away from gay characters, they do the opposite of what most gamers want. Also the inclusion is not an inclusion, when there are becoming too few 2 genders only games like before, at least from the well known AAA companies, and there is no proof for it, no proof for the tons of genders they claim, it is such an illogical support and movement.

It’s crazy how people genuinely agree with him on some of what he says. The stuff he says about women and children is already untrue, I know a lot of women that play video games (including myself) and have been since we were kids. The best argument that could have come from his video is how some games/shows will make almost all the character lgbtq+ because thats just pushing it and isn’t realistic. I am part of the community and I see that as annoying as well. But so much of what he says is just in general sexist, racist, and homophobic. I appreciate your take on it. 💗

Andy is so nostalgia blind he uses that as a platform for his rant about woke and “gay” video games even though most of the games he mentioned were a product of their time and that games moved on. He talks so much shit about cozy games… but forgot that games like Stardew Valley, The Sims, and My Little Big Planet existed before now! I just so happens that cozy games are more popular now due to the demographic.
