Incorrect.
It's a skill issue that simply must be overcome.
I have no clue what she's talking about. Made no sense.
I have had back issues & sciatica a long time, caused by the L5 vertebra slipping forward bc L5/S1 disk is damaged.
When it slips it causes severe sciatica. Within 15 minutes, your on the floor in pain (tears) and unable to lift/move the affected leg and unable to bear weight on that leg/hip. The pain is nightmarish because any attempts to move or walk only excallates the situation extreme pain.
Sometimes it's only the sciatica and sometimes it's only the SI Joint and sometimes it's both!
No PT helps because at this point, PT only exacerbates the problem (by grinding on the pinched nerve).
NOW Positional counterpressure CAN help reduce nerve compression, BUT WHAT SHE'S DOING LOOKS RISKY. This is why i say it makes no sense.
Especially, as a female, but also as a man, you better be careful how you apply positional counterpressure to the hips (pelvic girdle) - - because the wrong position can increase the misalignment of your pelvic bones (sacrum and R/L hips illiums; including SI joints and pubic joint). If you provide the wrong counterpressure, it will increase nerve compression and it could push things farther out of alignment ... leading to worse disk and nerve compression.
For women, deal with ligament laxity on a monthly basis. The pelvic bones and joints are suseptible to ligament laxity at monthly intervals. The wrong pressure will cause problems.
A good PT or good Chiropractor should be able to identify and correct the pelvic alignments with correct counterpressure.
BUT emphasis on the word GOOD.
NOT ALL CHIROPRACTORS or PHYSICAL THERAPISTS ARE EQUAL.
If one doesn't work, find a different one. Ive discovered that personal testimonies could be good or misleading.
Chiros will usually tell you if they think soft tissue is preventing adjustment and will advise you get physical therapy and come back if still needed.
PT's will NOT usually tell you you need chiropractic care. Doctors will NOT usually recommend a chiropractor either.
Funny enough though, doctors can & will offer dangerous medication (heart/stroke/bp/liver/kidney),
or dangerous muscle relaxers (breathing, heart, bp),
or dangerous invasive risky procedures (transmit infections into spine or brain, cause epidural punctures, worse crippling and worse pain, or even paralysis, or death ) ...
but they are unlikely to send you to a non-invasive chiropractor, even as a last ditch effort to avoid surgery.
Remember that you must know to advocate for yourself, and consult a chiropractor if/when appropriate.
I'M NOT A DOCTOR, SO I CAN'T RECOMMEND TREATMENT OR GIVE ADVISE. This is just my experiences.
I always consult a Doctor FIRST and get imaging! IF they decline to recommend chiro as a possible way to avoid invasive/ risky surgery, then ask why. Get s against chiro in your case. Is tdoctors explanation on why he'here a risk you need to understand about chiropractic treatment in your spine. If you see a chiro, take your images and DISCUSS your injury, condition, images and any treatements you've had. Hear the chiropractors opinion on what treatment he recommends.
I say this with the experience that bone spurs are a risk for chiropractic treatments. There could be other reasons like fractures etc that chiro treatment is ill advised.
I personally was fortunate to find a gentle chiros who was trained in the Palmer method. He was able to get my L5 & Pelvic bones back into the mist neutral alignment.
I eliminated the need for invasive steroid injections which i did benefited from for a couple of years.
It was really nice to get my spinal health back to the point i could exercise again and avoid injections (extremely painful, very risky, and expensive ... and are done without anesthesia or pain medicine and under flouroscope radiation).
It was a win-win for me.
Thank you lovely Deanna.
I’ve benefitted so much from you and Quinn and I haven’t even started my sample pack that I bought last year!!!😅
❤thank u!
ОтветитьI have hyper mobility and super loose hips. Any help for me 🙏😞
ОтветитьThanks for this! Explains why I ran into this very issue today. I was able to somewhat address it using my block, but I hit the wrong spot. I'll use the RIGHT one.
ОтветитьDear Deanna, just looking at this video gave me relief- your methods are what the body seems to crave for. My sister and I (amongst millions, I'm sure) greatly appreciate your work and so much you give freely. Btw - has anyone told you that you look a little like Terri Irwin from Australia Zoo (The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin's, wife)? Cheers - from your fans in Australia 🇦🇺 👍 👏 😀 ❤️
