Jason, the Republican position on the border was based on work visas, to allow people who are APPROVED to get into the country to come work. They would have to pay taxes just like the rest of us. It was not completely open borders so anyone can come across whenever they want to and sex and drug traffic people. I used to work for the USBP--believe me, it was a GREAT concept and the Democrats shut it down when Obama came into office. He also shut down my job, part of 40,000 people who lost their jobs that year, but hey, no one wants to hear about that.

Saying that Trump is now saying he has nothing to do with Roe vs. Wade is flat out lying. He absolutely took credit for overturning Roe vs. Wade during this campaign. But he said that now that it's in the hands of the States, he's not going to do anything else--he is NOT going to put out a nationwide abortion ban. Talk about dumb...

I was in canada for most of my adult life, came back to the states at 55 to drive truck. I was listening to CNN and couldn't figure out why so many people hated America. Then i asked another trucker about it and the first thing he said was try Fox. I did and the lid blew off. That was twenty years ago and it has always been the mainstream who are the biased ones. This guy isn't worth listening to. By the way, mainstream media is dead, they will never recover from this.

So it being 1/8/2025 and I'm watching this the comment at the 29 minutes mark of "weak and dumb" people is exactly what helped Trump win; it was basically "you said what about me MF; well watch this and F you" because it turned out that a lot of people with that type of "dumb" comment got it wrong big time. We are smart enough to see the blatantly "manipulated" system at play and eventually wake up and go hold on this a'int right.

This interview is how I found the All In pod. Those guys aren't perfect, but they have a valuable and smart perspective to add to my sphere.

Two key things I heard from Calcanis: A - He mentioned he got started in Journalilsm. Though his opinion is sound in terms of distrust in the media, his explanation that it just went down a bad path is inaccurate; it's always been slanted towards left, since the 1950's. But somebody that started in the media machine wouldn't think to check and balance their own industry. B - The vast majority of moguls that made their financial success based in NY (he mentioned Brooklyn) have an innate dislike of Trump. Could it really be Trump is an awful human being that steamrolls? Sure. But it is more likely they are jealous that he was given a richer start than them or has gamed the system to achieve financially and socially greater than them? I think the latter is more likely. I think it is hypocritical of a successful financial name like Calcanis to refer as Trump's business approach to government as authoritarian when, if it was his political victory, he himself would use that business perspective similarly, assuming he is truthful in his own words. OR, this could be much simpler and Calcanis is just trying to portray some neutrality because he didn't want to go all-in against Trump in the event Trump won. President Trump does find a way to eventually get back at those that have crossed him, that at least is without a doubt, and certainly those that have gone against him in New York.
