That step on the edge, we called it a joggle.

The welding is suposed to have a sizzle sound, like frying bacon, it sounds good.

Finally someone showing how the coupe rocker was modified for the convert. I see your inner rocker brace is still good. Mine is gone and I only have a nice outer left, but after watching this gives me some good ideas. The rusted out areas look the same as mine. Those complete only convert rockers are now hard to find and I see have doubled from 3 and change to like 6 hundred. Curious are using flux or gas wire. Those spot welds are beautiful.
