I applied to an Euromaster auto shop for oil & tires this week and I want that job so bad... I really want to learn how to do my own maintenance while I save up to finally take my driver's license and learn to drive, and maybe eventually work up to mechanic so I can hopefully fix up and build my own car eventually. I think it's such a useful skill to have that can be used anywhere in the world!
Ответитьauto body technician?
Ответитьhave a heartbeat
ОтветитьI work in IT. Before CORONA, I used to have the most awesome job supporting the IT infrastructure of one of the largest auto auctions in the USA. I was around cool cars on a daily basis. I miss sale day and all the lanes, cars, and auctioneers. I really miss that job!!!!
ОтветитьIt, by chance, and then who you now. To get into the auto industry. I have been working for an auto manufacturer for the last 25 years. Working from the bottom doesn't work. You need a university degree to just get for foot into the door.
ОтветитьIn Canada we have a specialized school to make our Automotive business more professional and train the next generation. Automotive Business School of Canada. I went from Parts Distributer counter to dealer marketer to OEM head office employee. Work hard stay patient and see what opportunities are out there
Ответитьwhat an amazing video
ОтветитьIf you take the auto shop class just go ahead and apply at the dealership if you want to pursue a career in this field. The other types of shops will just insult you for knowing what an oscilloscope is.
ОтветитьMy speciality as a mechanic is starting the car without the key.
ОтветитьThink this might been the push I needed
ОтветитьAs a 18 year old lube tech, I got into the auto industry by working on my own car and getting experience from that over the course of a year while I was 17. When I turned 18 I started working for a small lube shop for 4 months after I was working there for 4 months I applied for a ford lube tech job and got it. Now I’m a service porter and next month I will become a lube tech. From there I’ll be a real auto tech in about 2 years
ОтветитьIf they didn't pay poorly I would haven went into it but.. it's poor pay and Mangement.
ОтветитьIn Germany if you start in the warehouse you stay in the warehouse and no raise
ОтветитьI'm 15 years old and just got my first job this morning at a classic car restoration garage, I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI wish my school offered me an auto class😪
ОтветитьWarehouse bet
ОтветитьThe problem with cars that last and develop timeless appeal like volvos, lexus etc is the yuppies who buy them new buy them with an automatic transmission 99% of the time. So us middle to lower class people who can only afford 5-20 yr old vehicles often have to settle for an automatic that could just break and total the car at any moment because the people who but new cars ruin it for all of us.
ОтветитьWhat about the parts department in the dealership?
ОтветитьThe best video I've found so far!!!
ОтветитьASE Non profit?
Why did I have to pay them!?!?
Yea dealership
No go to an independent shop. Dealership .... unless you're a lube tech or the service managers favorite .... you will get screwed.
Until they need you because you can do something their favorite can't do😶
Pretty much sucks.
My dream job is designing sportcar and sportbike. But my dream overnight job is, sculping bigbike banana swing arms with basic handy and electric power tools and trying it by get it bolted on my fancy cubbike
ОтветитьWait,birds don’t have a urethra?
ОтветитьI wanted to be a nurse. I took all the classes to get into a nursing program then the Covid vaccine mandate hit. My dreams were crushed. But I’ve always loved cars and engineering. So thank you for making this video and giving me hope!
ОтветитьWhy brother. As an Ex Auto Mechanic it's been a dying field of work. ROI is poor unless you own the shop.
Better money doing Industrial maintenance or similar related jobs.
Karma is coming.
4 things à Auto mechanic hears sonner or later.
#1. I am poor and unfortunate
#2 I don't have any money
#3 I am selling it and
#4. YOUR RIPPING ME OFF.
Yeah lotta money in scrapping
ОтветитьHi donut, I want to be a mechanical engineer like working on engines etc, or even a auto designer but the problem with working on engines is that I'm only 14 and by the time I will be working most cars will be electric so I'm not about that. 👇👇
ОтветитьMay I ask uhmm, Mr donut I guess..I'm trying to learn mechanical engineering even tho I'm 12 I really like cars that I wanna invent one please tell what job it is I'll subscribe to you
ОтветитьWhat if you wanna OWN a company
ОтветитьI worked as an unofficial apprentice mechanic for just over a year back in '21-22. Loved the job, HATED the owner. Now I'm thinking of getting sick into the industry but Jesus every job I find wants 3+ years experience and a full set of tools.
ОтветитьI went looking for a job strictly in automotives at the beginning of January (ive never done anything before besides changing a flat, and an oil change a time or two.) It took me 2 days. Now i am a certified tech. I am also working on getting my Associates degree in mechanics.. for free on my own time.
No im not a bot this is a real testimony. If you want to learn about vehicles. Get up and get it
How tf you forget one of the main dealership personnel service advisors… dude mention porters but not advisors.
Ответитьid like to change jobs but cant take the pay hit learning and starting new
ОтветитьWould someone be able to help me figure out how to make my own car company
ОтветитьBRO WHEN HE SAID HIT THE LIKE BUTTON THE LIKE BUTTON GLOWED. WTF? WHEN HAS THIS BEEN A FEATURE?
ОтветитьSpeaking as a Diesel Technician at a Mack dealership, I got my job with 0 experience with semi trucks. I was active duty in the Army with 6 years experience in aviation. During my interview, the GM said "if you can do that, you can do this". We don't have lube techs, but it's possible to get your foot in the door with some kind of mechanical experience. We are a relatively small dealership, so this may not be representative of every shop.
ОтветитьI’m only 14 but I’m open to being the host👁️👄👁️
Ответитьwho got the job ? xd
ОтветитьAs someone who is going to school to do Auto Technician work, this video kind of put my mind to rest. Thank you Nolan, all of your advice will not go unused :)
ОтветитьIf your state does emmision testing this càn be a good entry level position. There is a lot of money in repair. You will probably need ASE certification but in my state (California) only certified shops are allowed to do these repairs. I went to a 1 year tech school. Programs for testing only certification are shorter
ОтветитьHey Veterans, you need to be annoying get out there. I’m doing it because I have nothing but time just be annoying
ОтветитьTrying to become a car designer so wish me luck 🤞
ОтветитьHere's good advice. Run away from this as fast as you can. Find something else, anything else.
ОтветитьI work 12 years straight fixing big trucks and cars I now would like to study to get a degree or something like that and I just start college in automotive but for me that really easy I hope I can get in this industry.
ОтветитьI would love to build a car for the community❤❤..
ОтветитьBro your guys's allstate ad is awesome
ОтветитьComing back here after ~2 years in auto:
1. Wow that was shitty, didn't pay very well and I'm in pain.
2. That was fun.
Looking for another job now after quitting the dealership.
