Only in the age of the "millennial" could someone find something mean to say about this old stoner.
Ответитьwho comes from the voice «Fredirick», hit like
ОтветитьIs there a name for that little Hiccup thing he does while singing?
ОтветитьWhat an awful voice
ОтветитьThis jewish kid shows much promise
ОтветитьI prefer the Soggy Bottom Boys, but this is good, too.
Ответитьhe new a good song when he heard it and he knew how to make others lyrics his own. but many songwriters better than him imo. Dylan borrowed his best lyrics from old time mountain music. his singing is ok I guess but his longevity and persistence are his best characteristics. right place right time and enough drugs around to keep the listeners interested. this is an old song no one knows who wrote it actually. Stanley Brothers popularized it and well actually saved it. Ralph remembered their dad singing it and did his best to remember the words.

ОтветитьThis is by far the best recording of Bob Dylan doing this song.
Ответитьam a man of constant sorrow
I've seen trouble all my days
I'll say goodbye to Colorado
Where I was born and partly raised
Your mother says I'm a stranger
My face you'll never see no more
But there's one promise, darling
I'll see you on God's golden shore
Through this open world I'm about to ramble
Through ice and snow, sleet and rain
I'm about to ride that morning railroad
Perhaps I'll die on that train
I'm going back to Colorado
The place that I started from
If I knowed how bad you'd treat me
Honey, I never would have come
I like his debut album Bob Dylan, but to be honest there was no sign at all of what was to come in the next few years, next few decades, even the next album. He went from a pretty decent but mediocre effort on his first album, with songs most folk singers were singing around the club's and coffee houses to his classic, amazing second album The Freewheelin that set him on the course to change music forever. He had a profound influence on my equally favourite artists The Beatles. He was responsible for them making their Rubber Soul album which also changed the way music was going. He had an influence on The Rolling Stones and their first great album Aftermath. The Byrds were a sort of hybrid of Dylan and the Beatles. Dylan's words, put to a 12 string Rickenbacker, Roger Mcguinn had seen George Harrison playing on A Hard Days Night. Dylan influenced the Beatles and Stones and they in turn influenced everyone else. Then again, with the Band and the Basement Tapes, Dylan influenced Eric Clapton to leave Cream, influenced The Rolling Stones on their Beggars Banquet album and influenced The Beatles to go back to their roots with Get Back. Dylan's influence was immense.
ОтветитьLet’s be fair this is crap
Ответитьand believe it or not you are listening to The man of constant sorrow song :-) hahah... Dylan is great
ОтветитьThanks Bob. Love this
ОтветитьJust Fabulous
ОтветитьMy hero ❤
Ответитьexcellent version
ОтветитьAnyone who thinks he’s a bad guitarist should try it themselves. You could spend a hundred years and not be able to strum with the genius of Dylan
ОтветитьIt's 2023- yes indeed, the master poet! & We all know it..not to mention SONG writing!🎶🎵🎶 Definitely, Are Mr Dylan is a work of 🎨 Legendary Legend, All over the 🌏...with all due RESPECT-🎶 Unionsundown🎵...⏳.. it's all about 🕰️ ING....🙌.... SHALOM, to All.....
ОтветитьDylan’s a tremendous poet, storyteller, troubadour, a voice of our ages. A vocalist, he’s never been.
ОтветитьSorrow comes uninvited, surely. But then again, happiness does also come unexpectedly. One who knows this is able to tolerate both distress and joy, just as one knows that the seasons come and go and thus can endure throughout the ups and downs.
Funny how the sadness of this song is so beautifully expressed, and therefore makes one kind of feel the happiness of truth.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьDylan looking through those "this better be be worth that soul I sold" eyes.
Ответить🌲🔔🎼
ОтветитьFirst, I heard this song in o brother where art, though? And I didn't realize how far the song actually went back until tonight, and I'm glad I found out
ОтветитьThe greatest
Ответить...a staple of folk music...so good
Ответить2024 and still relevant
ОтветитьThe GOAT
ОтветитьHe put this song on his first record which failed commercially. I thing this video is done after he's had some success with maybe 2 more albums uner his belt
ОтветитьLike a freight train through your head. Penetrating right to your soul. Thank you Mr. Dylan wherever you are.
ОтветитьI was one month old when this taped :(
ОтветитьHahaha...sounds like a first song. Very bluesy
ОтветитьCoincidencia temporal león
ОтветитьI like his songwriting more than his vocals. However, he is a true artist. Unlike these bland ‘artist’ created in the studio.
ОтветитьI genuinely think is in my opinion the greatest performance on video ever made. It is honestly historical
ОтветитьI'm not american, don't know much about classic american music though I'm a fan of country music. Just got into bluegrass, I like this style of old bluegrass with harmonica, can anyone recommend other songs?
ОтветитьThe ultimate parody of his inspirations
Ответить7/3/24 ❤️♥️Freedom💙🇺🇸
ОтветитьIn constant sorrow all through his days
I am a man of constant sorrow
I've seen trouble all my days
I bid farewell to ol' Kentucky
The place where I was born and raised
The place where he was born and raised
For six long years I've been in trouble
no pleasure here on earth I've found
For in this world, I'm bound to ramble
I have no friends to help me now
He has no friends to help him now
It's fair thee well, my old true lover
I never expected to see you again
For I'm bound to ride that Northern Railroad
perhaps I'll die upon this train
Perhaps he'll die upon this train
You can bury me in Sunny Valley
For many years there I may lay
And you will learn to love another
while I am sleeping in my grave
While he is sleeping in his grave
Maybe your friends think I'm just a stranger
My face you never will see no more
But there is one promise that is given
I'll meet you on Gods golden shore
He'll meet you on God's golden shore
Still the best version of this song.
ОтветитьSo good!
ОтветитьInteresting on the C chord he doesn't move his pinky onto the 3rd fret low E he shifts his ring finger in time with the picking.
ОтветитьHis voice sounds just incredible.
Ответить2024 anyone?❤
ОтветитьTo those who don't like his voice, you simply do not get it.
ОтветитьIf you listen closely all the notes are there
