Yep, sheer panic, we all want to live any sliver of a chance to live, it’s all for one……
ОтветитьJust in a daze, shock..wondering around, cannot even appreciate yet that your alive.
ОтветитьTitannic sank April 12,1912
ОтветитьI am happy when coast guard commander Gregorio De Falco tell off Former Captain schettino. Good work on the video
ОтветитьGerman? Why are those 2 people talking flamish then? They are definitely not german😅
Ответитьwhy even build a ship this huge? we really learned nothing from titanic huh?
ОтветитьSo much negligence on so many levels. The penny pinching...corner cutting corporatation should of been held more accountable.
ОтветитьI hope designers of cruise ships have taken some important data from this and changed some things.
ОтветитьThat ex captain was trash happy he got punished
ОтветитьThis is cgi animation fiction.
ОтветитьThey gave the captain 16 years for abandoning the ship. I guess he was supposed to stay and die😂
Ответить"One of the most luxurious cruise ships on the seas." 🤣 It was a tacky, cheap, floating Las Vegas dump. The 'Queen Mary 2' or even most Princess ships are by far more luxurious than the 'Costa Concordia'.
ОтветитьI never worked on a cruise before but I have worked in luxury hotels. The kind of people that get these vacation packages just are not at all able to handle a surprise crisis.
Ответить530 Million dollars is a HUGE amount of money to just sink and let go to waste. However, it's not worth nearly even a fraction of each of the 32 victim's lives. There's nothing I hate more than foolishly arrogant people and that's exactly what the captain was. I'm glad he got punished.
ОтветитьAnd this why I don’t go on cruise smh
Ответить“Get back on board!” DeFalco is a legend.
The “captain” is horrendous and gutless.
Arrogance in Captain
ОтветитьCaptains like Schettino are why they used to hang captains who abandoned their ship and left their crew/passengers to die.
ОтветитьWhy is the man from the Black Forest in Germany speaking Flemish
ОтветитьBeen on 36 Cruises and happy and thankful to come safe and sound every time..
ОтветитьBeen on 36 Cruises and happy and thankful to come home safe and sound every time..
ОтветитьWhy would you take a cruise? Unless you spend thousands of dollars, you're basically in coach in an airplane.
ОтветитьPortrait in craven cowardice.
ОтветитьThe men should have let children elderly and women. First. All those men better pray it’s awful to get on life boats b4 kids4!
ОтветитьThe crew who did stay and help are everyday hero’s. Embarrassing that most of the trained sailors abandoned ship. The officers who stayed behind fulfilled their duties admirably with no captain or clear commanding officer left.
ОтветитьIN A LIFE OR DEATH EMERGENCY:
FORGET "AUTHORITY"
FORGET "BOUNDARIES"
FORGET "RESTRICTED AREAS"
ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS FAIR GAME
DO NOT WAIT TO BE TOLD WHAT TO DO
TRUST YOUR GUT, YOUR INTUITION, ALWAYS
YOU DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES, TO SAFETY
YOU CAN WORRY ABOUT "CONSEQUENCES" LATER, WHEN YOU AND YOURS ARE SAFE
KNOW YOUR EXITS
KNOW WHERE FIRST AID KITS ARE
KNOW WHERE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE
ARE YOU GOING TO BE SOMEWHERE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?
DO YOU NEED TO STASH SOME WATER?
SOME FOOD?
IF YOU TAKE MEDICATION, CAN YOU GET TO IT QUICKLY?
DON'T BOTHER CONCERNING YOURSELF WITH WHAT SOME FACELESS OVERHEAD SPEAKER IS TELLING YOU
LISTEN AND TAKE NOTE IF IT'S USEFUL
BUT NEVER "TRUST" IN ANYTHING
SAVE YOURSELVES
Captain Schettino: The Modern Day Bruce Ismay!
ОтветитьFor anyone interested, January 13, 2012 was a Friday. I'm not superstitious, but I always like to check.
ОтветитьI was horrified watching it happen on tv. Innocent lives taken by a madman who never should have been given that job. He wasn't qualified. The saddest that I recall was the U.S. couple who had just retired and had saved for years for this trip. They were probably in their room unpacking or walking down one of the lower decks. I'm not even sure they were found. I guess they were. I guess everyone was recovered. This tragedy has stayed with me, I don't know why.
ОтветитьDid they not do the drill that they the first day out where to go if something were to happen? Seems like no one knew any of what they were to do . "many went to the wrong muster stations. ". I looked on my life vest and seen an B and we were at A muster station". The captain should have gotten life for each person who died. He lied to the coast guard at first then over an hour later declared an emergency. Then he left the ship. He left all those people to die or make it out as they could! Captain should have been charged with murder. He was responsible for everyone on that ship. He made the choice to change course he got them to close to the rocks then when he knew it was going down he leaves the ship . he should be spending the rest of his life in jail behind bars!!!🛳🌊⏬🆘🚢
ОтветитьThirty two precious lives were lost because the captain wanted to show off, unbelievable.
Ответить😮 guy ♂️♂️♂️
ОтветитьOn the bright side, at least they were super close to land
ОтветитьWell that was the captain fault i can’t can imagine how theses people scared 😮and I wouldn’t go on anther cruse ships again. That was a horrible thing for anyone to go through.
ОтветитьSorry for your lost dear lady.
ОтветитьRemember the "Andrea Doria" affair? How the galant men of the "ILE DE FRANCE", "Stockholm", "Cape Ann", & etc gave their all to rescue all of those people in time before the sea claimed the ship? They were successful because of brave men who proudly served at sea most of their lives, proudly representing their flags and nation states. It's a whole different ballgame with cruise ships, they are manned by contracted employees with little to no experience from around the word. Yes, even the officers too. And often with crappy pay. Hence there is little incentive for them to take such great risks in times of emergencies, and with zero pride at that. Hence it's only a matter of time before an even larger vessel with a larger number of souls aboard, makes even more dramatic headlines. Count on it.
ОтветитьReminds me of the SS Atlantic, which ran aground at Marrs Island in Nova Scotia on April 1, 1873, with the loss of about 550 souls.
ОтветитьThousands would have died if the ship had sunk.
They were lucky it didn't.
The crew did the best job they could!!! They never got recognized.
i know one guy from Mumbai that died. He was last seen helping the passengers. His body was the last one to be removed. They believe he tried to look to see any passengers were left behind.
The coincidence Titanic sank on 1912 exactly 100 yrs later Costa Concordia accident happened in 2012 at the song playing in the ships casino or ballroom was My heart goes on 😮
ОтветитьDude's name was De Falco. Even without the "get back on board" line the man was destined to be a national legend.
ОтветитьDe Falco, give full support for yelling at that jackass. Watching that on the news was heart breaking.
ОтветитьThe mayor of Giglio has balls of steel. To climb up onto a sinking ship and help with the evacuation is truly amazing. The captain should be ashamed of himself, the coward.
Ответить😔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😔
ОтветитьThe miracle is that the ship ended up so close to the landfills. If it was in the middle of the ocean it would have been another HMS Poseidon.
ОтветитьMario Pellegrini the mayor legit feels like the godfather of his own little island lmfao. Can just tell the way he dresses.
ОтветитьSome of the clips in this aren't from the Costa Concordia, usually love this channel but please do your research
ОтветитьBoating advice for cruise ships - if at any time you feel a massive vessel shudder in any respect; Donn your life jacket and make your way to the DECK, not a muster point get onto the deck because if the ship sinks you’re more likely to live coming off the deck than anywhere else on the vessel
ОтветитьCurrently on a cruise watching this 😂
