Lynda Teller Pete (Diné) is a weaver, teacher, author, and consultant based in Denver, Colorado. Originally from the Two Grey Hills and Newcomb areas of New Mexico, Pete comes from a long line of Two Grey Hills weavers. She views the work she does as both a way to honor those who came before her and to forge a path forward for those who will come after.
“As a fifth generation Diné weaver, I have a responsibility to carry on my ancestors’ work and create opportunities for current weavers and the future generations.”
In addition to her role within the Diné and weaving communities, Pete uses her platform as an artist and respected authority to educate the general public about the history of Diné weaving from the perspective of a Diné weaver.
