Nice! As Bricks probably releases its components soon (Thomas gave a sneak peak a while back), this will likely have a temporary shelf life in the Bricks ecosystem. Having this in Gutenberg FSE themes seems very intriguing, in GeneratePress or vanilla Gutenberg.
ОтветитьNice start anyway but hopefully Bricks will release native components in 2.0 so this will have limited appeal I think. For other builders like Elementor and possibly Gutenturd(?) this will be an absolute game changer.
ОтветитьTHNX Paul!
Love to "do some pretty cool things".
Could you think about making a tutorial addressing the usercases for listings and components?
And I wound ask the question, for now :)
Thnks again for a great explanation
Excellent overview mate... I see a lot of potential with components when it matures. They probably could/should have added more features before going live.
ОтветитьThanks Paul. Looking forward to trying this out with Elementor!
ОтветитьConcise and clear tutorial for the “how to”. It would be great to also see a quick explanation of the “why”, the purpose of the new feature. Jet Engine Components is the answer to what question?
ОтветитьHave I missed something? - I don't see the point of it, in Elementor you can use global widgets and/or saved templates which is much faster to use and edit than this, I use JetEngine all the time so I'll try it out and see... Love your tutorials though..!
ОтветитьNot surprised, you can create templates in Elementor and edit it if you want to adjust something.
ОтветитьSo basically, they are doing much like Elementor did or does (I haven't touched Elementor in years), by way of putting out half-baked functionality and sitting back collecting feedback while their paying customers perform free beta testing for them?
Elementor was notorious for this! Towards the end of this video (in the Bricks version) there is so much 'not' available and hacking, you HAVE to ask yourself why would they even make this available at this stage or even say it's compatible with Bricks!
I'll pass on this full stop.. Advanced Themer's Nested Components is far superior and no need for hacking or gotchas in it's functionality.
just easiest copy and paste and modify or even better make global with elementor; I do not see the point in components ;-(
Ответитьfeels quite unnecessary at this moment, when you can do these things by copy-paste! Why populate the website with some unnecessary things?
ОтветитьGreat News! thanks Paul for the updates
ОтветитьGreat that Croco is adding this, this and Gutenbricks are really expanding the possibilities when it comes to components
ОтветитьHow much money do you get from Bricks to make this demo with it, since it’t obvious it has a lot more features with Elementor?
You are forbiden to publish videos with Elementor now?
LOVE this! This is going to be a game changer for client hand-offs to make it easier for them to add new items without having to find something to duplicate or getting into saved templates! Great feature addition!
ОтветитьGood evening, dear developers. I always have a great pleasure to learn from you. Especially, I am interested in Crocoblock together with Bricks Builder. I am very stuck on one problem.
If I may, here is my problem:
I have two CPTs on my site created with Jet Engine.
1. Team
2. Player
Between them there is a link - many to many which has Meta field - season (Season in which the player was in the team) That is, linking the player to different teams, I am linked to the season (season is created through - glossary).
Basically, I want to achieve the following:
1. In the profile of the team to display a filter where users will be able to look at the composition of the team for different seasons (when loading the page should be active current season - for example 2024-2025) Then in the selector can select other seasons and look at the composition of the team of previous years.
2. In the profile of a player, I want to display - his career (as an example, a list or table containing the following data in a row: Team Logo, team name, season to which this team is linked.
For me, this is a very difficult but important task! I will be very grateful for any help!
I think it will be an interesting challenge for you and entertaining content for subscribers. Thank you, and I hope for a reply.
Hello, I'd like to get your opinion: is it feasible (or not worth the effort) to create a photo contest using Crocoblock plugins? The frontend photo upload and display seem fairly straightforward, but I think the biggest challenge would be setting up the voting system for individual photos. What are your thoughts? I'd appreciate any insights you can share. Thanks, and take care!
ОтветитьGreat tool, great tutorial... as usual.
ОтветитьYou had done some wonderful videos on Crocoblock using Real Estate as an example and explained relation in the best possible way, I wish you had done new videos for using Elementor with Same project so its easy to follow, I am not sure but you have been moving away from Elementor and using bricks more in your example. Not sure why however it feels old follower who started using Elementor as you where using i have been left out as we cant move to new page builder. I wish you do the same video using Elementor?
