Phew. Thanks for starting a playthrough, as I can't even beat 3 specials stages in any given sonic game, so 14 is just ridiculous.

Bonus Stages look definitely challenging.
This game looks good so far.

Mode 7 Sprite scaling special stages + awesome soundtrack + epic graphics + awesome gameplay = 32 BIT ORGASM

So why would Metal Sonic (a) not attack you during the race, but more importantly (b) actually follow the curvature if he flies? He could just make a straight line for the finish and win every time.

Only thing I really don't like is the outright lack of fanfare when you get a chaos emerald. It's just, "oh you got one. Congrats. Here's some text.", and the cuts to the special stage are weirdly fast.
