They need to fix the item pickup mechanic. Loads of times I've tried to pick up ammo/health and I couldn't unless positioned perfectly. Very annoying during boss fights :-/

Classic horror games, in my opinion, are the best kind of games to re-make. With modern graphic capabilities and incredible hi-def sound effects and score, a horror game re-make can be a truly terrifying, intense experience. A horror series I've been craving a re-make of are the "Condemned" games.

The game didn’t make full use of current gen GPUs and CPUs like Cyberpunk did.

Hopefully all these good reviews will get them more money to remake the rest of the silent hill franchise and after all of it have been remade make a new franchise

I never played the original Silent Hill games. However this game was fun ,tense, and atmospheric the whole way through. There was a lot of moments where I had to pause the game and take a minute to compose myself and keep pushing on. The Prison and Labyrinth made me feel emotionally exhausted after I completed that part of the game. The only thing I didn't care for was the volume of puzzles, I thought it got too repetitive and annoying at times.

I give this review a 3/10. The writing is mediocre, the audio performance is painful to endure, and the video spoils stuff up through the later sections of the game. I'm surprised they didn't just throw the ending of the game in there.

Looks like it was a 7/10 For me personally It tried the best that it could to maintain the original style of how the game was however I think it should have been a mixture of over the shoulder and camera angles that force you to play the game from a far distance because that's what made it even more scary in my opinion the original composed music maybe adding new ones on top of keeping the old ones I just feel like there was just too much focus on the action too much focus on trying to impress people visually that it's still kind of missed its mark still looks like a solid game Happy that it came out decent at least but I'm not entirely convinced myself it's going to be a masterpiece

I've never understood this type of horror game. 3rd person is NEVER scary and the Resident evil type combat is ALWAYS frustrating and takes you out of the experience...

The alliteration is off the charts in this review...

This is better than all the Resident Evil remakes because it cuts nothing out like RE2, RE3 and RE4 which cut original content.

RE2 cut out the scenario loop and tarantulas.
RE3 cut out the clock tower section and graveyard section.
RE4 cut out U-3 boss fight.

Silent Hill 2 is the perfect remake because it keeps original content but expanded with new exploration areas and collectibles.

Me and half of the fanbase owe an apology to Bloober team. They truly did the unthinkable and gave us the game we thought could never be remade. Our apologies Bloober team, you really did COOK with this. Thank you 🖤
