That's my grandfather, JR Jimmy Duff, on the far right playing clarinet and Bari sax. I inherited his horns, (tenor, clarinet and flute) and I have them to this day!

The famous and consistently great California Ramblers (aka Golden Gate Orchestra) in their original form (from around 1930, Ed Kirkeby would also use this alias for a totally different outfit), are splendid in this early recording, boasting their exceptional skill.
