JYK had this to say recently.
Time to start watching MICRON
Things to pay attention to is industry capex, pc/ phone/tablet replacement cycles
One thing that's going to be a boon to all semi conductor manufacturers is the US ban on
Chinese manufacturers
So is micron a great buy at $40? Or with the amount of oversupply and Samsung investments this could get much uglier?
ОтветитьExcellent video Sven
Ответитьthis is an excellent video. super content! thx Sven for the hard work.
ОтветитьThanks Sven! Hammered home that Micron is completely out of my circle of competence. Enjoyed the video though and learned quite a bit. Thank you for all that you do.
ОтветитьThanks sven, I really encourage to continue with yout valuable work. I can't explain how much you have benefited me from a knowledge perspective even though i didn't make a dime yet from value investing 😂 but I'm still trying. 😊
ОтветитьGreat video Sven
ОтветитьI am always learning a lot of your videos, thanks.
Ответитьquality at its peak, thank you Sven
ОтветитьI appreciate your work Sven. You’re deep dive videos are the best.
ОтветитьLook at XYL = xylem. I would like to see a breakdown of that stock. I know water and it seems like a strong industry for the future.
ОтветитьGrazie per l'analisi Sven, ha molto valore!
ОтветитьThank you for your great educational video.
ОтветитьGreat video as always!
ОтветитьThanks for the critic of Mohnish. I do like hearing various view points. I also want to point out that Mohnish didn't exit all his stocks, left his investors hanging, then hid behind an "educational portfolio" that has no money behind it. As Peter Lynch said, there is a difference between following a stock and owning a stock. Don't get me wrong, I do agree with majority of your MU analysis except on a few assumptions, and I find your sarcasm entertaining as long as you continue to remain open to comments, both positive and negative :) Cheers!
ОтветитьTruly a great video Sven!
ОтветитьMohnish may not care about making as much any more. I think there's is plenty of time to buy.
ОтветитьCan you do QRTEA? Burry owns some.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThank You Sven, for another great video.
ОтветитьGood work 😍😍
ОтветитьJust st the right time video on Micron. I am considering to increase my position in MU but I cannot see what is the timeframe for turn around on this one. I would give it 2-3 years and see where it stands.
ОтветитьSven, can you make a review of Eurofins? Serial acquirer in a profitable industry with tailwinds due to government regulations on food and drug testing. The company has integrated small laboratories to form one of the largest networks in the industry. The stock crashed hard because they had one-off covid revenues and at the moment it has reverted to the mean and valuation starts to be compelling. Management is fully aligned with shareholders and they have pricing power.
ОтветитьDear Sven, would love to hear your opinion on Pfizer next, its been performing terribly later and might be a buy
ОтветитьThe AI boom, where language models soak up a lot of hardware resources, may bring Micron increased profits far earlier than people think. This may mean we never see a P/B closer to 1 ever again.
Ответитьthanks sven
ОтветитьGreat analysis Sven, love your deepdives of specific stocks. Suggestion look into Gas/LNG companies that have benefited from high gas/LNG prices last year. European gas prices are extremely low at the moment partly due to a mild winter. It could be an opprtunity to buy gas companies with the winter of this year in mind. I don't know how the supply demand balance will be but China will be back in the game with a need for gas after reopening. Also rerouting global gas is not that simple and cheap to do, storage wise, logistics wise, what I understood from reading about it. Southwestern energy could be such a stock which I saw some highly credited investors buy in the past period (source: stockcircle)
ОтветитьSven Carlin to the moon
ОтветитьSven what do you think about doing a video about Costco? Its one of those rare companies that have a dividend, growth and earning model. Valuation is always tricky and takes multiple industry disciplines to understand (consumers, real estate, etc...)
Thx
GREAT VIDEO 👌👏👏Thank U Sven
ОтветитьMuch better than the one on Intel, but still missing some analysis of the future of the market. CXL is an opportunity, but it is an even bigger threat, as data centers are seeing DRAM is one of the main targets for cost reduction, and CXL enables them to pool memory that is currently sitting unused in servers, potentially reducing the demand. Understanding the business is one of the cornerstones of value investing, and you can't know the business if you don't understand the market prospects.
ОтветитьWhat do you think about following businesses for next 10 years?
Vertex Pharma
T. Rowe Price Group
Novo Nordisk
Monster beverage
Google
Garmin
Netease
Infosys
Accenture
Cognizant
Utah Medical Products
Incyte
Paychex
jack Henry and Associates
Sven, can You do the analysis of Johnson&Johnson company? 😊
ОтветитьMore of these deep dives please!!
ОтветитьThank you Sven! Great video
ОтветитьGot 16% discount on East West Bancorp during the bailout fake out. Buffett says these regional banks always outperform. By cash flows bank is already 10x undervalued although being finance I'm sure that's hyperbole but still 3x most of the competing regional banks.
Can you do a video on regional banks with stable balance sheets?
Thanks a lot, I knew about cyclicals, but you were right I didn't quite understand them completely. I bought some MU, then gained some and trimmed. Now I have a small position just in case the cycle goes back to exuberance and realize even more gains! I also have WDC, and it isn't doing so good... I think I won't invest much in cyclicals from now on, lol!
Ответитьwant to lose money? do like I did... follow seven portfolios: BABA, Russian Stock, Lyberty global, Intel, and VEON. I guess If I bought random stocks I honestly did better!
ОтветитьSven … missing 😢
ОтветитьGreat analysis, keep it up👍
ОтветитьI have always told people to stay away as not investment grade. I have had been calling for 50 for a long time when investors were aiming for 100+. I stick with selling calls on mainly apple, google, amd, tsmc for huge monthly cash flows from derivatives.
ОтветитьGreat analysis and thank you for your videos. Money managers make their money from management fees not picking great stocks nor making money for their clients. Fund managers like to talk up their stocks and attract more money into their funds, so they can make charge more management fees.
'Nothing is forever except for change' - Buddha. No company stay great forever nor should we held onto a stock forever. Sell or buy a stock as its fundamentals and story change.
do MTDR next pls :)
ОтветитьMonster Beverage pls
ОтветитьLove Micron
ОтветитьI smashed that thumb, deep dives are really interesting
ОтветитьWHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS MICRON LOST CHINA AS ITS PROVIDER & CUSTOMER, WOULD MICRON'S VALUE WOULD GO DOWN AND THE USA'S GOVERNMENT WOULD SAY : "OOOOOOO NO IT IS NOT MY FAULT!!!!!!
CHINA IS A VERY AGGESSIVE CIVILIZATION WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION"
The whole investment thesis is actually about Moores Law slowing down, meaning that companies like Micron will not be having such high capex anymore. If you look at operating Cashflow=15billion. Unfortunately they need to invest nearly everything to stay competitive. I’m the future innovation might slow down wich leaves more of operating cash flow as fcf. Add a little bit of growth and you have an undervalued company. The big question is really just if Moores Law will slow down or not. I think you missed that in your analysis.
Ответитьin hindsight and only in hindsight, Micron is not a bad stock after all
ОтветитьI think this deserves a refresh sven.
