How about just don’t be a criminal then you don’t have to worry about this problem solved
ОтветитьChronic victimhood bastardization syndrome of a smashed culture on full display here folks
ОтветитьAmerica is a business
ОтветитьShocking, stupid, counter-productive, unfair, unethical and frankly criminal.
ОтветитьThank goodness we didn't just elect a guy who's gonna make this all much worse, for the benefit of a few balding old men.
ОтветитьDebt keeps people in criminality. America is a business.
ОтветитьPhone call fees have improved. They used to average $5+ per minute.
But these fees can accrue to those waiting for trial who are eventually found innocent.
not to mention that if you call someone in prison, there’s also a charge. If you use your credit card, it will be charged as a cash advance.
ОтветитьI never knew about this. Now i see why some goes back to doing what they did in beginning
Ответитьthere is one simple way to avoid this, don't break the law
ОтветитьCrime doesn't pay. Plain and simple, don't be a criminal. This video should be a deterrent.
ОтветитьSo much for getting rid of Debtors’ Prisons.
ОтветитьYeah Court Costs are a bunch of baloney.
Ответитьheres a crazy idea dont commit a crime and you wont have to go to jail or be in debt
ОтветитьThis is outrageous 😮
ОтветитьThe state should be forced, legislated, to hire these new releases from prison, say, at the DMV or such since THEY just finished “rehabilitating” them to work in society by giving that first leg up.
ОтветитьI wish you came out with solutions and actions taking place by your investigation to solve problems on universal level. You tattle, shame and claim high ground. But to the soulless, rich, untouched, and unopposed evil of these Oligarchs? Which are BOTH if not five sides of the same coin.
ОтветитьSo this video is suggesting that taxpayers should pay all these fees for someone's poor choices..... Uhhhh no
ОтветитьOne alternative though, become an orange president
Ответитьtime out is not a punishment
ОтветитьWhy should those of us that manage to stay out of jail foot the bills for inmates? Also, the vast majority of these
accumulated debts will never be paid. Don’t know what the answer is but this makes it seem like it’s unfair to charge inmates. I disagree.
First world on the surface only.
ОтветитьWorking earns 0.42 USD/hour (before garnishments)
Placing phone calls cost 0.14 USD/min, 30 minute calls, 4 times/week.
He has to work for an hour to talk for 3 minutes, so 10 hours per call. That's a 40 hour workweek just cover his phone calls. Nothing else.
Don't break the law and you wouldn't have these problems losers
ОтветитьWell ..dont do the crime!
ОтветитьI have a great idea to save some money: do not commit a crime!
Ответить"Mike" better not break the law anymore. He can't afford it. His girlfriend is being used. She's holding down a man who didn't even give her the ring. 💍
ОтветитьAlmost like you shouldn't commit crimes lmao
ОтветитьPrison Mike....
Ответитьhow much is cost for keeping people in jail?
ОтветитьAll they had to do is not break the law🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦.
Ответитьthey should give more money to israel!
ОтветитьDon't do the crime if you can't do the time
ОтветитьWait until they get released and figure out they have to pay to relieve themselves. Bathrooms aren't free anymore. "Customers only".
ОтветитьBoo hoo, let me play the world's smallest violin 🎻
ОтветитьI now know who the real criminals are
ОтветитьAmericans are the real Ferengi of this universe
ОтветитьLike a decade down the road you will have to pay a 18% tip when you get paroled
ОтветитьTo everyone saying "solution is don't do crime" the state of Tennessee is now investigating dui police quotas where last year 600 sober drivers were arrested for drunk driving and some went to jail. The state makes money from crime, when profits are down, innocent people go to jail, defend and release, and still end up with debt.
Ответитьthis video was well made
ОтветитьImagine how the average tax payer feels having to foot the 50k+ a year per prisoner. However, I do wish they focused on rehabilitation instead of punishment. I wish they had somewhere cleaner to live. The reason they are in prison is to keep them away from the rest of us because they can't be trusted in society but that should be enough. To torture prisoners is insane. I mean, it's ridiculous and I sure hope it changes one day soon however with the current administration, punishment is going to be rampant. But yeah I mean it sucks that they have debt but someone has to pay for it.
ОтветитьThe American DNA is so authoritarian, even if it is a Democracy, it can not help itself but to resort to violence, legalized or not, by default. The historical Violence Track Record proves it. The archaic and religious based Obey and (heavy) Punishment mentality or psych is blocking a much needed Social Mind Progress.. like for Rehabilitation, Resocializing, Science Education, etc for a real Humane society
ОтветитьOur jailing and judicial system needs work. But being poor is not the reason to commit crime. I wish you would have also written up the stats on how much it cost the public to keep the prisoners in jail. Part of being in prison is a punishment as well as rehab.
ОтветитьSo for 25k I'll get food and shelter? For 5 years? Sign me up
ОтветитьSecret:Democrats kept Blacks u educated for a reason.
Ответитьprisoners being charged for their stay in prison yet the taxpayers give billions of dollars to the private prison industry every year
ОтветитьThe key is to stay out of prison. Don’t commit crimes.
ОтветитьYeah the 42 Cents are unlawful where I live. It’s minimum wage or more.
Ответитьso these funds, people then do something even worse to pay them off?
ОтветитьJust horrible!
Ответить
