Would have been cool to see the Snowstorm take on a Dangerous Encounter, there was one at the end of last episode that could have been the bossfight
I think a cool idea for the fighter drones would be after the fight is over and won. You make them go to a grinder pit to be disassembled, recycled, and put into use for the next wave of printed little balls of fun.
Ответитьcould you play No Man's Sky? I LOVE space engineers and I like nms too, so yeah.
ОтветитьI hope the 2025 season will NOT continue the sandstorm/snowstorm legacy and start on a new ship 'case well.... dirtstorm or alienstorm will be as ugly xD
ОтветитьYou should use Nanobot build mod in 2025 series, it will make construction alot easier.
ОтветитьThe tour is cool, nice to get reminders of all the things you built.
Regarding the drone control center, the reason you never really looked at it after it was built is that it's far and out of the way. Out of sight, out of mind. If you want to keep interacting with cool things like they, make a central control area wherever you spend most of your time and put the screens and other interactables there so you are seeing them all the time and they stay in front of mind.
For the Snowstorm vs Sandstorm, eliminating all the open space also had the downside of making it a maze to navigate. You ran into this several times once you launched the Snowstorm and got into combat. It was convoluted to get where you needed to be in a hurry. If you do another refit to turn it into e.g. the Spacestorm, consider a straight central corridor fore to aft that provides connections and easy access to all the critical areas (bridge, drone bay, hangar, multiple external access doors, etc.). You can add some fun design elements with signage, color coding different functional areas, things like that.
note you need to armour up the PROTO Drill
ОтветитьGG …enjoyed !! Roll on 2025 🎉🎉🎉
Ответитьman, andrew, this series was awesome. It really helped me through the past year and helped me A LOT in my own SE progression because i learned so much from you, thank you for that.
my favourite part was actually the CoFeNi base stuff, especially the Parking lot :P
in regards to the sandstorm, when i saw you walking through it, comparing it to the snowstorm and "complaining" about all the empty spaces, an idea struck my mind: why not turning the sandstorm into either a cruise ship or a luxury Yacht? you can turn all those empty spaces into either sleeping rooms or a kitchen or other entertainment rooms. the weapons could stay where they are, there are still pirates in the vast nothingness of space, and the drones could get ion thrust and the launchsystem could get an overhaul inspired by the one from the snowstorm.
anyway, those are my two cents about your great work, and i am hyped for "survival 2025" 😁
So many cool things you did and are re-usable in the next series, especially your coding for automation. I can see a massive control center in your future where you can sit at multiple stations and take direct control of remote processes/attack drones/miners. An interesting ship build for the next one might be a Death Star....spheres in space are the universal design for 360 degree coverage... build it with full x/y/z access weapons coverage so you have the same amount of weapons fire from any angle... muahahaha.... Waiting with anticipation...
ОтветитьHonestly if andrew ever does a combat series the snowstorm would be a powerhouse for that
ОтветитьLets go i got the warship clash i wanted to see that i mentioned last episode!
ОтветитьFor the rule of three things, you should make a triple reactor setup for the next series. You could make it like a heavily-guarded uranium power plant, with cooling towers and everything!
ОтветитьThanks Andrew, it has been a blast.
ОтветитьIf you uploaded more than one video of this a week, you could get more done. Also, when you start a project in the game, finish it before starting a new one. So there isn't a bunch of half welded, unfinished buildings/areas around
Ответитьthat's actually an idea. limit the amount of alternative power on the base. like max 3 turbine or (not and) max 8 solar panels or however many. only enough to power basic refinery and assemler.
to kind of force you to use hydrogen engines for power. I may try this myself. needing to find ice regualrly just to be able to power the base
Again, these are ships best suited to real players piloting them.
ОтветитьThe Railgun seems to have never been loaded with ammo.
ОтветитьThe Sandstorm is more like a carrier, with room for a lot more rapid deploy piloted fighters, whereas the Snowstorm is set to be more of a drone launcher.
ОтветитьYou would do well to make future seasons as coops.
ОтветитьHello Andrew, do you have a "tutorial" of your drones for absolute beginners? Yours were the best i have seen so far. Thanks
ОтветитьCan you share your game save file?
ОтветитьYou commented on liking the name Reavertariums. I'm almost internet famous now. Fist pump in the air!
The only thing I felt that was missing from the big hanger was a retractable roof.
There were enough guns/turrets around it that the roof was almost unneeded, so in the end, it worked out fine.
The Sandstorm vs Snowstorm at the end was interesting to watch. Thanks for adding that comparison.
What’s more interesting is that both ships turned out to be quite durable! Not to mention that the armor tilts work and artillery shells ricochet.
ОтветитьThey are both amazing builds ship wise. The stations are works of art. I would need to play in freeplay to work out how to build all of this before trying it in survival. Brilliant series and I'm looking forward to the next. I hope you had a great xmas and have an awesome new year.
ОтветитьYou have soooo much uranium lol
You should make your defence drones take uranium lol they will be a pain for everyone 😂
I love this series looking forward to 2025 series ❤
btw happy new year andrewman!

Ответитьthe automated status monitor scripts and stuff was really cool. I also really can't wait to see what you do in Space Engineers 2!
