Airstream RV nightmare: Defective Rangeline camper van

I don’t at all understand this one- They bought a n “new” RV that had been used for RV shows? How is that new? Sounds like a used RV that could have been stored who knows how/where and with people messing with it. This sounds like it’s 100% on the dealer. I think that part was very glossed over- They shouldn’t be having the trouble they are but sounds like the dealer needs to make things right for them.

Who are quality class B motor home manufacturers?

When are people going to get it. Employees that have real job skill are all but retired. The current work force is just I show up Employees.

A simple mini-van (Sienna) with a bed built across the back, a couple of European style add-a-rooms or perhaps a quality Springbar tent is all you need to enjoy the great outdoors. A canoe can go on top of the van, your all set. Tons of money left over for more elaborate vacations abroad.

I am considering a new 2024 or 2025 Airstream Atlas. Anyone have any experience with one of those?

I bought a 2024 Jayco 30 ft travel trailer to live in while our home got flooded Lucky for me it lasted 4 months of living in with no problems but it did aquair mold under the mattress while we were using it sold it quickly after house was fixed..

RVs are one of the biggest impulse buys. Buyers don't count the full cost of owning an RV.

Rv dealers make used car dealers look like boy scouts.

I watched the intro of the Rangeline and noticed how cheaply they were built, every corner cut, cheapest materials used, everything a downgrade from Airstreams traditional B class units. SHITFLATION, or GREEDFLATION some folks are calling it.

Sounds like RVs are getting too complicated for the manufacturers to actually assemble properly.

A lot of gullable fools and their money are parted.

I don't understand how this couple missed someone's wedding, unless this pile of shix is their only vehicle? I don't buy it.

I wonder why Airstream and Blue Compass dealer will not make it right for this customer? Any update?

With so many issues with every RV out there, I don't think an initial inspection by an inspector will detect problems that will for sure show up after you drive off the lot.

I built my own class B. Zero issues after 15k miles.

Cost me a total of $85k for the new cargo van and the conversion. 500 hours labor. I built it on an AWD Transit chassis.

The conversion is very nice and complete with all the bells and whistles.

Saved $60k vs buying new and got a higher quality custom conversion built exactly how I wanted it. So $120/hr for my time.

100% worth it. I would do it again.

Everything costs so much today, doing it yourself has never been better. The cost savings is substantial now. Easy $100+/hr.

I have considered purchasing an RV. I've been to the FL RV Show the past 3 years. I've looked at the million $$ RVs and everything from this down to $75K.

All have the same issue ... poor workmanship & shoddy manufacturing. Look at these companies and their sales tactics. They make used car sales people look professional.

Without talking to anyone, the prices are marked down 20%. Talk to a sales rep and easily get another 15% discount.

That right there is a HUGHE RED FLAG. It's saying -- what we are selling is overpriced junk.

Once again, I'm traveling by car & staying in hotels. Good RV parks want $100 to $150 per night. My night at the Hilton Garden INN is about the same.

And when I return home, I don't have some price of junk that needs service.

Horrible these camper companies are dirt! Buyer beware. If it’s not right when you go to pick it up, it will never be right.

Blue Compass has zero integrity in sales or service. The worst dealer I've ever dealt with, never buying or servicing at any Blue Compass again.

The companies should be held responsible for a full refund plus pay these people for every single expense incurred time wasted and aggravation

If you think that’s bad do a little research on the airstream interstate 24X. And as a sidenote, it’s another 100 grand on top of the price of this van!

This isn't a true Airstream, its a pos Dodge Promaster with a cheap interior for glorified van life.

These issues appear to be endemic across the RV manufacturers and dealers in the past few years.

We may be on the verge of watching an entire industry collapse through self destruction.

no response is typical, and needs to be stopped, industry wide. A response costs next to nothing, and reflects the company attitude toward customers. We all know this, but without a "big stick", nothing gets done.

Had my Rangeline 2 months. My dealer bought it back and got me into a trailer. My dealer was fantastic(exclusive airstream dealer). Too bad these rangelines are as bad as they are

These folks were taken to the cleaners. Obviously this camper is a total loss. Way too many problems to fix.

Your just buying a name today! They are all built the same using poor quality materials & unskilled labour!

Wow, they probably should have went with their original plan and just build out their own RV with that Sprinter Van. It would have been a lot more work but they would have had a lot less headaches in the long run.

Wow, I've been following your channel for awhile now. I was seriously getting to buy a new Renegade Verona but after watching the videos no way I'll do that now. In fact it'll be a cold day in the underworld if I ever consider buying a new rig. I'll stick with my old 2003 Funmover 35c.

Definitely a buyback, definitely compensation for time loss of use, and definetly cost of travel.
