If we act in a "leave it as planned" manner, we should give liquid feedings every 2 hours so that the babies do not get jaundice.
ОтветитьTrust me, I eat once a day all my life. It will give you cholesterol problems apparently. I don't eat junk food either.. lol .. I kept my body small with 7 kids . Now my Doctor is like were you fasting before this test? I said I only eat once a day , really..
ОтветитьThis video changed my life. I, without any thinking, started OMAD after watching this video. After 1 year, I lost 30 kg weight. I had been trying a lot of stuff that didn't work. This video was the missing piece I was looking for. Thank you Joseph for impacting my life in a huge way. Never going back to old habits
ОтветитьDo you still follow OMAD?
ОтветитьI have heard that intermittent fasting is contraindicated for people with thyroid issues... do you have any information on this?
ОтветитьHonesty when I first tried to “diet” I question those to prep meals up to 5 plates of it instead of eating it all at once. When I eat when I feel like it, I do feel hungry after 2 hours, but after that, it feels natural
ОтветитьAre you still on the one meal a day ?
ОтветитьThank you. I appreciate this perspective. I am contemplating several different plans for my health and longevity. How to eat, what to eat, when to eat are all part of it. My influences lead me to believe that fasting for a while is part of my future. But then what? I have plenty of weight to lose. I believe that eating once a day will be part of the longterm stabilization plan. For the record, Steve Jobs learned to where the same clothing from Einstein.
ОтветитьVery insightful video.
Ответитьchoosing my meals every week actually stresses me out so much so i can’t wait to try this

ОтветитьFriends and family killer of diets. They're usually at horrible shape as well.

ОтветитьThe presumption - and it's a presumption, not canon - is that because we evolved to eat a paleo-like diet, that such a diet is what we should go back to in order to be healthy. That flies in the face of logic. The paleo diet was ad-hoc - that is, it consisted of what was available, and its consumers had no choice. Of course, some "adapted" to it - but that does NOT mean that it was ideal, or that the adaptation precisely fitted our metabolism to that intake spectrum.
And that's apart from the fact that across the geographic span of homo sapiens, or even its precursors, the ad-hoc consumables varied dramatically. Unless, of course, you believe that the protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin, and mineral complement of available food on the African savannah mirrored precisely that of Northern Europe, Southern Italy, the mountains of Switzerland, Borneo, or the Asiatic steppe. So the premise is foolish at its foundation.
But more so, it leaves behind the prospect of dietary evolution - that is, that learning to cook food, blending foods with different amino acid spectra*, different B12 or other vitamin complements, etc. would convey NO benefit to longevity, health, strength, gut biome, or toxicity elimination. That borders on crazy - it's like saying high test gasoline is no better for your engine than crude oil.
* Consider the imbalanced amino acid complement of "pasta" and the complementary amino acids found in cheese. It's why Italians put cheese on macaroni; together, they make available 50% more usable protein than if eaten separately - a survival advantage in times of want.
Post Script: I did a 10 day fast when I was in high school, just out of curiosity. I had to "imagine" food as disgusting in order to pull it off psychologically. By about the 3rd day, my breath turned sweet (ketones), I became more measured and efficient in my movement, and I no longer craved food. In fact, one of the habits that was hardest to break was simply that of walking to the fridge and looking inside.
At the end of 10 days of nothing but water and vitamin pills, I had lost 20 pounds, and it was actually hard to resume gradual eating. Vegetables, interestingly, tasted much more flavorful after the fast - no idea why. I've done 3 or 4 10 day fasts over the decades since. What I've noticed is that I switch into ketosis much more quickly than was the case during the first fast, which took 3 days to happen. It's almost as if my body "learned" how to switch. That improves the efficiency of a once a day meal program, because I'm in ketosis for a longer period before the nighttime meal. I can lose weight very easily, at will, if the need arises.
Another important, and perhaps key issue for health and longevity; most toxins are fat soluble; they reside in fat cells in your body. When you burn off fat, you excrete those toxins in the ash residue. Even if you gain back the fat, the toxin concentration in the fat cells is diluted, and reduces the toxins' concentration in your body fluids, and their adverse effects on cellular and organ health. This may explain the feeling of clarity and well-being that follows a fast.
Today I'm Carnivore and OMAD, only dinner.
Ответитьits in the middle of the night and I was just craving some junk food badly, but saw this video. Now I still feel the immense hunger but instead of a junk food craving I feel motivated, like the hunger is showing the ketose process coming nearer and my health therefore increasing :D
ОтветитьI eat 4 days a week... Fast 3 days week 😊👌 PTL hallelujah ☝️
ОтветитьEating one meal a day.
You loose weight
You save money
You save time
You age backwards
Better skin
Thanks for this video. Been looking for it again for a long time. I first stumbled upon it during peak pandemic stuck in my house, it came up on my feed somehow. I tried OMAD and felt incredible after a month. I got shredded with minimal physical exercise within 4 months and kept it going now for 3+ years. Thank you, this lifestyle has really improved my health.
ОтветитьGreat snapshot of types of associations made by this video ; random squirrel imagery followed directly by elon musk inserting HIS "McAnswer " working in a classical concept such as "First Principals". L M F A O
ОтветитьI've been eating once a day for years. 15+ years at the very least. However, i'm skinny fat.
ОтветитьDo u still do this?
ОтветитьThank-you!
ОтветитьDo you still do one meal a day? Im on my first week
ОтветитьI am grateful for this channel.
ОтветитьWhat if that one meal a day is something like pizza?
ОтветитьDo you still do this now?
ОтветитьONe thing they don’t tell you omad, you will have more vivid amazing realistic dreams. 😂😂
ОтветитьSearch what ancient wisdom of Ayurveda says regarding this subject. They told it ten thousand years ago
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьAwesome video man, youe were really informative from the begining. You knew about David Sinclair long before everybody else. All your videos give me alot of information
ОтветитьSo Europeans weren’t eating 3 meals a day before they came to America?
ОтветитьU will pass like the rest of us
Ответить"Obviously we're not engineered." I beg to differ, sir. It's not obvious to me, in fact the opposite is.
ОтветитьFasting is a form of cleansing. We are center focused on our “addictions” when fasting provides a form of clarity just as much as using drugs might do to a virgin mind. When left with nothing, our body takes over like the super heroes we know it to be. This can also be a cure to people who are enabled to continue destructive behavior.
ОтветитьRewatching this 7 years later. Incredible how much the channel has improved but still great content.
ОтветитьI just eat when I get hungry. However, Drinking... Drinking is a different beast
ОтветитьInteresting
ОтветитьI love it
ОтветитьIt's all about entropy production!
ОтветитьSo basically everything ive been doing that people yell at me for lol, thanks for confirming it for me. I always found it odd that i never got the same hunger triggers as everyone else described
ОтветитьGOMAD is the one and only true diet
ОтветитьWhen I was 18 I went to the psych ward for severe anxiety and depression and I didn't eat anything but I drank a little milk and a lot of water and I felt amazing but when I got home after awhile it felt like the medicine wasn't working and now I realize it must have been because I went back to eating normally
