This Friends puzzle really surprised me

I regularly go to games night at the local game and crafts stores. The only time I ever see anyone playing Monopoly is when people who rarely play games come to check the place out. I did once mention puzzle chess, because they do have some small puzzles open where the open not-for-sale games are. I doubt I will convince anyone to play with me.

They should have used large versions of the community chest and such to put the cards in

Oh snap haven’t seen one of those mild 3d puzzles in forever …. Had the Titanic as a kid…. No I never finished it I liked puzzles but wasn’t quiet at that level yet 😂

I would love to see more puzzles like this concept where they have a purpose, like a board game!

I love how this puzzle lowkey is just terrible at what it's supposed to do. The raised section in the middle means that someone sitting on one side of the board can't easily see what is happening along the opposite edge of the board. Board games are flat for a reason smh.

I think that puzzle was designed by a genius and put together by somebody with a lot more patience than I’d have!! I used to love Monopoly as a kid though not a 3D version! I think it’s a great family game and we always played according to the rules.

Monopoly is the best to me but there are many other good board games.

Can monopoly be fun? Yes obviously. Does it hold up to modern standards in game design? No not even close if you want something simple it's not that if you want something good for families there's a lot of great options that aren't as majorly "feels bad" as monopoly. It's a classic and holds a special place in a lot of people's hearts but there's tons of much much better games out there and it's not like monopoly is cheap or anything like you can spend the $20-30 for a monopoly board on some great games that are going to leave everyone feeling much better at the end of the day than Monopoly does

That is puzzle is so cool and unique! I use to love playing monopoly growing up with my family. UNTIL.... my husband ruined it. LOL. He played more competitive and serious. so after a few years I finally said I will no longer play that game with him. LOL But I still loved playing with my kids. 😁

My mom banned Monopoly in our house after years of fighting between the players.😆

May i ask why you run your hand back and forth over the puzzle after completing it? Is it simply an aesthetic thing or does it serve a purpose?

Yes I loved playing monopoly just about every other week..

I would totally be taking the trains and utility 3D pieces during the game as my reward for owning them!!

i liked the 2d cut out model better than the 3d model, if I ever do a 3d puzzles I'm doing the same thing

Personally I can't be bothered with Monopoly, haven't liked it since I was young. But the 3D jigsaw puzzle is cute.

Fun fact, monopoly was designed not to be fun. It was called the landlord’s game and was meant as a criticism of the real estate system as it exists and was then bought off the creator for basically nothing and mass produced in a way that is ironic to the nature of the game

So, there's apparently an Anti-Monopoly game… I'd wanna try it with the original rules (Anti-Monopoly II is the version everyone thinks of with the game, but Wikipedia says differently) because it's likely to be a lot more interesting, and has a lot less “Board flipping” potential.

Loved playing monopoly only draw back was not always being able to finish it because it too so long. Eventually we made our own rules.

Whatever the origins of the game, I think it's a great game to give kids an intro to money. Sure, there have probably been many better games to do that since then, but for its time, I think it's pretty impressive how it can get kids to enjoy the process of learning how to manage things without the risk of giving them actual money.

Monoply is boring and frustrating to me, I get zero enjoyment out of it. It's so sad that out of all games it has the cooles special editions, like the Star Trek one.

Imagine having to spend 5 hours assembling this thing every time you want to play monopoly!

Oh, the "monopoly is a good game or not", the discussion that is nearly impossible to go anywhere since nearly everyone plays by house rules and don't follow the original ones, that actually point the game towards a finish but tend to not be that fun for being more random and less based on decision making skill.

But the original intent of the game is still to show how capitalism breaks things apart, and the way most people feel about it really reflects that. So I'd say, yeah, the game does exactly what it intended, house rules or not, and therefore, it's a good game.

Have you tried virtual 3D-puzzles (on the Oculus Quest 3)? You can set the puzzles up to 1000 pieces (for some of the newer offerings). Some have premium sound features - build near the: church, hear Latin chanting; cliffs, hear the waves crashing; town, hear the cars honking and engine roaring; homes, hear dinner plates being cleaned, and chatter. Some feature inside and outside of buildings (there is a tool to see through the walls to finish the interior). Some have day and night shifting modes while you are puzzling. Some have animations: birds flying, butterfly groupings, bands playing on stage.

I loved playing Monopoly when I was a kid. The entire neighborhood would join in and it was so fun. I can't tell you how many hours we spent playing over 2 to 3 years but it was a lot. Very happy memories and thanks for showcasing this puzzle.
