ОтветитьWhy did you cut 1.5 inch off of the plenum to slide the coil? Now there’s a big gap between the coil and plenum and only securing it with metal tape. Sucks for the person that has to come back to replace the furnace only cuz that coil has a high chance of falling.
ОтветитьWhat about the addition of coolant? Used to be freon?
Ответитьso why do you need nitrogen in the lines when brazing? And I'm guessing that using a methane torch wont work? Ans what metal are you melting? Is it different from water pipes?
ОтветитьPleeeeeassssseeee wear gloves while metal working 🫣🫣
ОтветитьNice tape plenum. lol
ОтветитьDo you do any live training? Interested if so
ОтветитьDude you are good
ОтветитьI just recently started school for hvac but a lot of the things were learning has me intimidated. Is it really that hard or am I just learning a whole bunch of things I most likely won’t even need
ОтветитьDoesn't the manufacture recommend to insulate the sensing bulb.
ОтветитьYou're a scrub!!!
ОтветитьGreat video! My ac unit is 20 years old need to replace I am thinking of getting Goodman GSZC 18 SEER any thoughts? Thanks
ОтветитьI gonna do the same
ОтветитьIn my house I gonna install an amana
ОтветитьI gonna put the same thermostat for my amana
ОтветитьThis was fucken sick man thank you for this video 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьWhy did you fold down the flanges on top of the furnace? Aren't they there to keep the matching coil case secured to the top of the furnace? I'm pretty sure when I did my Goodman 4 years ago that's how it went together and I definitely know I didn't fold anything down like that. Also, here's a tip. Start your screws on the bulb strap from the top next time. That will make it much easier to tighten.
But actually, do not connect your steel TXV bulb to the aluminum on the evaporator coil. These are 2 very dissimilar metals and create galvanic corrosion between them. The TXV instructions show to connect it to copper either inside the coil casing or outside the coil casing, but you must connect to copper, not aluminum. Over time there's a good chance corrosion will develop on the aluminum coil due to steel on aluminum and a leak will occur. Steel to copper is way more compatible and should last the life of the unit.
in order to open up the refrigerant lines, does the compressor need to be on?
ОтветитьWhats the difference (pros & Cons) between a TXV vs Piston
ОтветитьBuddys a hack fills gap with tape 😂
Ответитьgood video:) why in some video do you install TVX ? some video not ? what is rules?
ОтветитьAwesome video! Respect! Question: I know it's different in every town but aren't there inspections required once completed (at least for the electric and natural gas)?
ОтветитьNice Job.....Question for you....I have a Trane XR80 Gas Furnace...My house already has Duct System...What A/C unit is compatible with my existing Furnace?? Or would I need to upgrade??
ОтветитьHiii
ОтветитьI have an old Goodman with R-22. Soon I’ll have to replace it with a new 3 ton Goodman and R134A.
ОтветитьGreat video.. How much is something like this cost regardless of what the system price is?

ОтветитьJust an FYI on the TXV. The sensing bulb should be installed as close to the exit and schrader port as possible. So, it should be installed on the exit copper portion of the coil and you can do that if you braze with the cover off and then install it. Installed like you have it, you are not sensing as the suction exit - by the schrader which is what you want to do. You won't be getting the correct temp on the sensing bulb installed lower like you did. You can still do it all inside the unit and this will give you a perfect balance because the pressure port and temp sensing bulb at very closely co-located, which is what you want. This is an FYI for anyone else who watches this and installs a goodman like this - put the bulb right at the exit on the copper just past the schrader port, but still inside the unit.
ОтветитьI had a company come out and put in a Goodman because I'm going through American home shield which I would tell everybody to run from. This is the second AC I've had to buy in 3 years because the first people just totally ripped this off. Didn't even change the air handler and lied about the size. It was a 2 and 1/2 ton when it was supposed to be a three-time. Anyway, where I'm at now is the technician that put in the Goodman left rags bolts, wires all kind of stuff. So they've already had to replace three parts on that AC and it was only 3 months old. Should I have my whole system replace seeing that I paid for a brand new unit which already has had to have three parts replaced and I know this company definitely was trying to rip us off over mastic saying oh we never even had any that's why it's not getting cool like my 20-year-old system was. When I got a second opinion I had mastic so they could have been lying about the three parts. Their place who knows. Anyway, I do know the rags and stuff are left in it because of different technician showed us. So there's other problems the issues I'm having now that we know the mastix fine. The ducting is fine and has been retaped no tears, no holes. Nothing. This guy from a different company says sounds to me like it's your mindset. Yep that's it and it needs to be replaced. However, like I said after it got put in I forgot to say it froze up about nine times when I said quit sending out the same people especially after especially after finding out that they were lying about mastic. So the air handler froze up about nine times. So we said send a new person out. They were saying it's the line set that needs to be replaced but because they put the word access the company does not want to pay for it. When he said it would be a simple fix you move the air handler have one person at the other end because ours goes underground. Push the old one through. Pull the new one in put air handler back and put two and a half pounds of refrigerant back into the system. However, the company now doesn't want to pay for it because of the word access even though he is expressed that it doesn't mean he has to tear up the concrete or anything like that to get into it. And now the company that's doing it doesn't want to take off the word access even though American home shield said as long as they just take off that we will pay for it. So this is where I'm stuck and they're expecting me to pay $1,000 to have this line set because he just thinks it. I have not seen any tests. Nobody has test each vent in my home.. therefore, they don't even know I have a reader myself, so I know it was a 12° difference from the air handler to my bathroom from in the air vent. I know it shouldn't be that. So question is $1,000 just to replace a line set a line set? By the way, that has never even been tested, I guess going off of a guess. Is this a fair price and is this something we could just do ourselves? Also, do you believe that I should if I have to get a lawyer and get my whole system replaced after? I feel like they probably broke those parts even if they were broke at all because I caught them in a lie. Have proof of the LIE. Should I have the whole thing replaced? Sorry about the long message. Just hoping you guys out there could put yourself in my shoes + seeing I'm not rich. I need some good advice. Thanks guys. God bless

ОтветитьInstalling Goodman is smart. It is less expensive to buy than Trane, Carrier and Lennox and most parts are either on the truck or a trip to the supply house. The other brands have pro priority parts and can take a few days to get inter branched to your local supplier and are more expensive. A quality installation is a must. Get the highest seer rating you can afford for the ac and stick with an 80% furnace. The higher cost of 90 plus furnaces are more expensive to repair and take a long time to get back the cost in energy savings.

ОтветитьMan I'd kill for a furnace install you can walk around like that. 99% of the time it's in a tight closet, a low attic, or a short musty crawl...
ОтветитьI’m cringing at the sound of the torch, waaaaay to much oxygen
ОтветитьI'd like it much better if you did some talking during video explaining what u were doing just to be honest mate. Thanks for sharing
Ответитьwtf was the plenum transition of be pissed if I was the customer bro used heal metal tape to seal it in instead of just making some simple sheet metal transitions yall hyping this man for a half ass install I do mostly new install checks and warranties I’d be sending your ass back to add an actual transition for that plenum
ОтветитьWould you ever you stay brite 8 on a goodman r32 system?
ОтветитьGreat install sir! You make it all look so easy. Enjoyed as always. Keep up the good work!
