My opinion: One of the things that is a problem with today's adaptive cruise control is that it's too aggressive and is contributing heavily to the stop and go traffic situation. I think the system should analyse more than just the car in front and preemptively reduce speed without breaking. Also acceleration should be slower to achieve a smoother traffic. As far as I understand openpilot is not changing the car's adaptive cruise control but I think it would be good to do so.

I dont have to deal with traffic like this, but I know how great Open Piliot is and in that mess it would be a NEED not a want.. i hate traffic like that and Open Piliot you just dont care, because the car does almost everything for you...

I noticed sometimes you pressed a button to resume, I believe. Is it the case for every stop in the traffic?

It should curse at people for me too. Useless! Lol

The Mini driver at the start seems to have a binary braking system. On or off, nothing in the middle.

So I'm on the fence about OpenPilot, it says my car has no ACC acceleration below 25mph. Would that make unable to work in stop and go traffic? Would it still bring me to a stop if there's traffic in front of me?

How do you get start and stop in a toyota without having to reengage openpilot everytime?

I wish my car would resume after it stops I just started using the comna two on my prius and in stop and go traffic i have to hit the resume if the car stops for more then 3 sec.

I know this video is older, but I'm curious in this situation are you having to operate the gas/brake or can OpenPilot manage that in this situation?

I recently moved outside Nashville, decided it was time for OP given the absurd traffic, wanted to see how it handled this kind of traffic (though the video is old).
I said to myself before I even pressed play; "This traffic has to be TN", and what do you know..
