This was really a good year. Allmost all of the songs could have been on my top 10 list. So making a top 10 was a bit difficult, but I made it. So here it comes: 1 point Norway 2. Switzerland 3. Again this year has a number of really good songs. Non ho L'Eta stands out as one of the greats ever. For me i Love the Little Things is one of the best UK entries. Udo Jurgen's song seems to be a poorer imitation (if past can imitate future)of what was to come.

After the latest voting by ESCsince1968, Italy has naturally (and to my great joy) started moving way ahead and France's Rachel breaks in the top-10, although the real surprise seems to Spain, near the bottom of the scoreboard back then but moving into the top-5 today! Like 1963, another year where our results reflect those of the actual contest, with Gigliola's richly deserved classic scoring close to double points from runner-up Matt Monro! And, after years of languishing at the bottom of the scoreboars, Austria manages to get their first truly great result thanks to a young, tall pianist called Udo Jurgens - who'll also give them more great results in the years to come.

One year when the judges got it right when Matt Monro would have won against most opposition except one of the classics overall. Would Gigliola win a competition of all the songs ever entered? It is quite likely.

I can't agree with that. There were some better songs as 'Warum nur, warum'. E.g. Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and of course Italy.

This is the 2nd time Gigliola Cinquetti won a contest with her song, non ho l'eta.

I love Italian song, it's really amazing, but my favourite from this year was Austria!
