'You were comfortable with me failing. It made you feel better about yourselves.’
That line hit me hard. Sometimes, the people closest to us keep us in a lower place—not out of concern, but because our role as ‘the failure’ makes them feel more successful. That’s painful.”
So turns out the ‘janitor’ was just sweeping the family legacy right under their noses. Guess who’s cleaning up now? Spoiler: Not the one with the fancy suit.
ОтветитьStuff your success in their faces
ОтветитьWatching from: "Moose Jaw" Saskatchewan, Canada.😃
ОтветитьHahaahahahaha this is a great story
ОтветитьSurprises are always nice for anyone😇

ОтветитьI hate that term. We’re a family. It always means somebody wants something from you and it’s a lot that they’re wanting.

ОтветитьThe best kind of revenge is quiet success. Let the logo speak
ОтветитьGreat story. Quite a twist and a terrific ending.
ОтветитьGreat story!
ОтветитьThey called you the failure... but you were building an empire in silence. Nothing like watching jaws drop when your logo lights up the truth. Success doesn’t need to speak—until it roars. 🔥💼🙌
ОтветитьWell done, James. The so-called "family failure" built a real estate empire right under the snooty, condescending "family's noses. Liked the meeting with the "family" the day after the birthday party, when he was all "not so fast, my friends" with their demands.
Also liked how James put the "siblings" in their places with his "naw, you don't deserve a part of my success" to the "sister" and kicking the "brother" out of his building. Surprised by the father asking James to teach him; at least he tried to understand how James earned his successes.
Much better than the usual story of this sort. Worth a read.
ОтветитьAh yes, the classic family tradition: roast first, research never 🔥. Bet they went from ‘you’ll never make it’ to ‘we always knew you had potential’ real quick once that logo hit the cake. Suddenly everyone’s a proud relative and part-time investor .
ОтветитьFunny how ‘family’ only matters when they need your silence, your loyalty, or your sacrifice. Meanwhile, the ones they never saw coming? They’re the ones rewriting the rules.
ОтветитьWhy did it take him building a billion-dollar company for them to respect him?
ОтветитьSo the lesson is : hide your success until you can weaponize it?
ОтветитьGood story, though I wish the stories would have the narrator be the correct voice. If the underdog/victim is a male then it should have a male narrator, not a female narrator. Sometimes I get halfway into a story and find out that oh, it’s from a guy‘s point of view.
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how people judge you until they see your success.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed every part of it – it touched me.
ОтветитьSounds decent, I gotta say.

ОтветитьGreat job, James. The 'family failure' built a real estate empire, surprising his condescending family. Liked how he told them "not so fast" on demands after the party. Also appreciated him putting siblings in line: telling his sister she didn't deserve his success, and kicking his brother out. Surprised the father asked to learn, at least trying to understand James's success.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful reminder of family bonds and responsibility. It’s inspiring to see younger generations embracing traditional values in such a meaningful way. Have you ever taken care of a grandparent or elder? What was the experience like for you?
ОтветитьWow, this video really resonated with me. It's like James finally broke free from his family's toxic dynamics. I can see how the pressure to conform to their expectations must have been stifling. I'm proud of him for prioritizing his own happiness and finding success on his own terms. This feels like a big step in his healing process.
ОтветитьWhy did the big real estate company not own their headquarters?

ОтветитьThis story gave me chills. Sometimes, silence is the loudest form of power.
ОтветитьI'm sorry, but the maine character is James, why is there a female narrator for the story?
ОтветитьI can’t concentrate when a man’s thoughts and action are narrated by a woman’s voice.
ОтветитьFamilies can be wild sometimes… but honestly, buying property was a smart move. Proud of you!
