I’m gonna get my AWS security specialty this year and I’ll come back when I do it👌

I’m thinking of doing Azure certifications this year 🤔

Got the cloud practitioner and network+ with a couple of projects under my belt, and currently an intern at Microsoft which will be ending soon, was going to start studying for the SAA but after watching i think ill double down on the fundamentals and get my ai/ml practitioner before i go into the SAA. I have absolutely no idea how I came across this channel. I was laid off from my job last year and I have been kinda drifting. I was interviewed last week by a company for a different role but the interviewer asked me what I knew about Cloud. Very little was my response but now I am down the rabbit hole and enjoying it. I want to do something completely different in 2025 and learning about cloud is one of them. This learning path seems very doable. Thank you for the insights my friend and happy new year!

I heard from an AWS Engineer saying: AWS Cloud Practitioner cert is not important. It is for business people. You can jump and start with AWS Architect Cert if you are a technical person.

As a developper I pretty much enjoy the aws use cases we have. However terraform is not for everyone and I really would not advice for somebody to do security on the cloud without prior solid devops experience. It's intesting only if you industrialize stuffs. As a kickstart, I'd start with actually a terraform course right of the bat, imho if you can't handle tf you should not even bother. 90% of the resources for aws is actually use are from hashicorp(terraform's company), viva la IaC. Then a tf project boilerplate and toying with it, doing real life cases like s3/lambda/sns stuffs maybe some vpc/gateway stuffs then if you can do it yourself, imho you're set, you can apply. It is very challenging developping serverless applications for the entreprise world, there are many things that can go wrong, be done better for a lesser cost, opportunities to overengineer or industrialize more. It's very intricate, wild, people generally really suck at it and I'm pretty noob self scared myself ^^'.

I got my aws security this Friday and solutions architect last year doing couple projects to show my understanding. And jobs still don't want me lol 😅
