In the books, Viserys (accompanied by a very young Daenerys) also tried to hire the Golden Company to his cause (yup, Vis was that desperate). The mercenaries rudely laughed to his face and Daenerys noted how cruel they are.

So, why would they fight for Young Griff who claimed to be a Targaryen when they already refused the Targaryen siblings before?

I’ve always liked the idea that Griff/Aegon will be a Blackfyre….BUT that he’ll just genuinely be the most fit for the throne and the inner circle of his supporters (like any lords that join) will simply agree to go along with it if it means a good kind who claims a legitimate name.

Especially if Dany going Mad Queen and being the final obstacle is still in the plans for the end of the series.

One of the things that upset me about the show wasn’t that Jon didn’t get the throne, but that Jon being the actual Targaryen heir but agreeing to step aside in favor of someone who probably isn’t his older half-brother, but would ensure peace throughout the realm more easily than Jon’s convoluted upbringing is much more of a satisfying parallel than Jon stepping aside for Bran.

Besides, I’ve worked on the assumption since I book 5 came out that Jon & Aegon will end up riding Rhaegal & Viserion. The dragon does have 3 heads after all

Young Griff is going to rally many Lords of Westeros and have them thinking he's a Targaryen. Then Daenerys is going to roll up with dragons and burn a hole in that. She's not going to agree to marry him. Also, Daenerys is 100% going to burn KL, just not for the reasons she did for the show.

honestly bran becoming the eternal all-knowing god-king of westeros is a dystopian ending. yes there would be no wars, no rebellions and such but at the cost of unending surveillance everywhere. people would be good not because the world is healing from its terrible past but because a lovecraftian tree god is watching them 24/7 and the option to be bad is taken from them. that's such a sad ending

... I could see Daenerys exposing Griff as a Blackfyre and killing him, and that being one step towards her turning into a mad queen.

I could also see her taking him for husband, much like how Henry Tudor took Elisabeth of York as a wife to bring an end to the War of the Roses by uniting the Houses of Lancaster and York; that War being one of the inspirations for A Song of Ice and Fire would probably lend that outcome weight.

What if the "Three Heads of The Dragon" is actually the unification of the Valyrian houses of Westeros, and Dany's opening move in her Game of Thrones is to unite Blackfire, Targaryen, and Valeryon?

It's unlikely, but it would probably be the best ending for any of them.

Faegon marries Dany, but maybe as she can't have children, Faegon takes a second wife of the house Valeryon, as Aegon the Conquerer did with his sister wives. All three of the remaining families from before The Doom under one roof with a fleet fit for royalty thanks to Waters, an army fit for conquest thanks to Dany, and a beachhead in their invasion/growing support from the common people thanks to Feagon, and all with more symbolic/lawful right to the throne than any other house in The Realm.

Maybe they could keep Targaryen Heraldry, or as a compromise between the families they might take a new sigil of a multicolored dragon with one head of blue, another black and a third of red.

End result: Lannisters burn. I don't even think a united north under Stannis and a revived Jon would stand a chance against that. It's honestly a shame that'll never happen lmao.

I think jon and dani will Fall in love but nobody will believe jon isn't a bastard. Or he "just doesn't want it". Or because he is seen as an oathbreaker. So she has to marry Griff. And everyone is unhappy but the realm is safe.
